Default L5 S1 fusion

Hi everyone sorry for the long absence. I'ts3 weeks since surgery after the L5 S1 fusion. Every thing has gone well from what the surgeon said and I'm on the slow road to recovery. My thigh and buttock pain has gone which is fanatic but my wife and i are very concerned that i still have shin pain and numbness in some toes on my left side. My surgeon said if i still have that pain when i return to see him for my follow up 5 week appointment we should do another MRI.
I have now had an L3 Laminectomy and a L5 S1 fusion in the past 4 months and still have pain in my shin and some numbness under a couple of toes off and on.

Im greatful the other pain has gone but why after two operations nothing is working with the shin and toes.

I would be greatful for anyone who may have any ideas for me.

Phil
