Default New to forum - recurrent spinal surgeries (x5!)

Hi there!
In a nutshell, I started having back problems in my teens, am now 46 yrs old.
I have had repeated lumbar fusions and have just been to see the surgeon yet again.
Fused at L3-4-5-S1
I have my latest MRI results and am looking for some help deciphering them!
grade 1 spondylolisthesis L4 on L5, grade II L5 on S1
severe degenerative disc disease @ L5-S1
Facet degenerative disease @ L1-2-3-4-5
L4-5 prominent postoperative scar at laminectomy site posteriorly smaller scar with enhancement seen in the pericecal region ventrally on the right which contacts and surrounds the right L4 nerve root. No significant distortion of this root because of scar. Neural foramina are maintained
At L4-5 postoperative changes as above. No significant postoperative scar.
Significant obscuration or both neural foramina making them difficult to comment on, Metallic artifact significantly obscuring central canal with the non obscured portions seeming maintained.
Significant obscuration of both central canal neural foramina at L5-S1by metallic artifact. Postoperative scar @L4-5 encasing the right L4 root in it's traversing portion before the dorsal root ganglia level. No distortion of the root however because of the scar.

Any help anybody has would be appreciated!

Hi Lisa

Welcome to NeuroTalk .

I don't know enough about spinal issues to say anything helpful but I am sure that other members will be able to.

Best wishes.
