Thumbs up Hi Lisa~

I hate to see this go unanswered, so I will tell you my story. I do have degenertive disc disease, along with with a whole list of other spinal problems. I had a SCS put is in 2005. I'm sorry to tell you this, but it didn't work for me. I would rather you hear from somebody positive. The truth is, they do work for some people. There is no need for you to be scared. It isn't very painful for the trial to be put in. And when they put the generator in, it doesn't hurt nothing like surgery does. I don't know which one you are going to have put in and it does make a difference, for they are different sizes. I had the biggest one a (medtronic) placed in my side under my lowest ribs on the left side.

I left it in for almost another year. My biggest problem was the rep. that came for the placement. He never came back and they do have to be adjusted. A good rep. will be there for you to help if the pain changes or if you have questions. I couldn't count on mine, so I had it taken out by a different surgeon in less than a year. Make sure you get one that will come around. Good Luck and don't worry!
Hugs,
Billie
