The last time (with monitoring), the cardio. said I have PVCs, SVT and (symptomatic) MVP, which I had already known. Possibly, it's the SVT he's wanting to monitor more closely this time?

I called his office and ... if the new monitor doesn't work right, I'm just going to ask him to give me a different one, from a different company. This is getting old.

I have to say when my DH had his SVT all the docs and the treatment were quite impressive. he has not had a problem since.

I'm not convinced, yet, that these monitors are functioning as ideally as might be possible. The new one was set-up yesterday and a baseline was transmitted - after about 30 mins. of working with a tech. and trying repeatedly.

I've followed the instructions to the letter, and... when I tried to send the daily reading, "Transmission Error" appeared on the monitor. I re-set the darn'd thing. If the same happens tomorrow, I'm calling my doc.

I'm losing patience with this and am afraid of the quality of readings that may/may not be received.

I also have to go for another DEXA scan (early onset osteoporosis) and can't do it as long as I'm wearing this monitor, which has to be active nearly 24:7 and kept within 10 feet.

Oh man Bobbi I'm getting frustrated for you with this heart monitor.

Is it working any better?

Well me and my frozen shoulder are chilling out . I have been putting heat on it and doing the exercise religiously and it seems a bit better.

I have never heard of frozen shoulder until now but you are right it is painful. Hopefully I caught it on the early end.

Still all ouchy in the morning from waking up all crunched up.

I sure hope that your shoulder will start feeling better very soon. It's a real bear having pain and probs. in a body part that is needed. From the way it sounds, it seems that you and your PT did get on it, so to speak, right away. I hope that's key in your recovery from the effects; I believe it is, as with many things.


The prob. with this monitor, and I believe any type reliant on a cell to send readings is: my location. I live in a rural area of the county here. It's difficult, at best, to get a good signal; towers are few and far between.

When I got my cell phone (2005), there were two choices re: service providers: One would be useful solely for local; the other, for local and national. So, in reality, there was one choice in providers.

So far, though, the monitors have service with providers that are not known to work well in this area. Hence, prob. after prob. in sending the daily readings and event recordings.

I'm going to be thrilled when this is over.

I'm giving the monitor a rest until later today; the electrode pads aren't removed very easily. I tore skin off near my collar bone removing the one that has to be placed there.
