Wow! Talk about pain. I hurt everywhere!! My skin even hurts.
I had an epidural on May 7th and on the 21st. They worked really well for a while but they are wearing off. I'm starting to feel my oldest pain that I was born with...back pain. The only relief I have is to load up on my night time pills and wait for them to work. I am so worn out all the time because so much of my energy is spent fighting my pain! I'm looking at this fall for my 5th back surgery.... Oh wells, sorry to have complained so much...

I am sorry to see that you've an upcoming surgery but ... gotta do what you gotta do. I sure hope it helps to alleviate most (if not all) of your pain.

Yippee... the monitor is way gone. I sent that thing back the first day I could. I got a huge $$$ bill for its use today. Oh, like it was elective or done for cosmetic reasons. What a bunch of vultures, hawking for every tight li'l penny they can try to squeeze outta someone.
The sum of the bill was $2,400. My share? over $800. "Allegedly" because the diagnostic stuff was not done by "a preferred provider." If life went perfectly, I would not have opted to wear the thing. My cardiologist doesn't make them, and, it's highly unlikely he has the time to actively monitor each reading from every patient he thinks should wear a monitor. Like, uhmm, he does do surgery, too. When's he got the time? Of course, some things are "brokered" out. It's foolish to think otherwise. Anyway, the woman who does billing for my doc's office told me not to worry about it. She said, it's most probable I'll never see another bill even if I don't pay it (and that it won't go to collections). She also told me to call her if they try billing me again and she'll jump in. And... my cardio. doc went over the results of wearing the pesky monitors. But, before he did, I mentioned that I was concerned about the reliability of the data since there were so many problems and a basic inconsistency inherent in having to use cell monitors dependent on signals not always available in my area. That didn't matter. He still got what he needed. He showed me what my heart looks like when it's doing its things. I guess, one way to put it is, the wiring is messed up . It beats way too rapidly at times, and he said that some of that is valve related, and, other times, it slows too much. Soooo, he's sending me for a nuclear CT scan. He wants to make sure that I'm not going to suddenly drop dead. He's not worried about any artery prob.; he said that if that were a prob., I'd already be dead - in the time since the last stress testing was done. And, I am so worn out, and slept hours after the appointment. The rancid smoke outside isn't helping, I suspect. The doctor cracked me up. It was such a politically incorrect appointment so I can't pass along the funnies he shared. . P.S. I don't know how cardiologists know what they know, but he did say that it was his job to find out what makes things worse. In my situation, he believes that stress is one of those things. It can be good (happy, excitement) or bad stress. He did seem quite pleased that the monitor provided him with a lot of info. He did throw me when he said, "See, it's not in your head." I asked what he meant and whether he thought I may have been embellishing. Nope, but said he does see some people who think they have something wrong and there's nothing wrong with them. "You know what you're feeling," he said. Duh. If it wasn't bothering me so much and making me feel so fatigued, I wouldn't have mentioned it.
