Default First time here---3 month's post surgery

Hello everyone.

I frequently post in other forums but this is my first time here. I have Multiple Sclerosis and a lower back injury. I had not walked from 2001 - March 10, this year. That is the day I had my spinal surgery.

Doc's for years told me the damage to my spine from years of martial arts and some falls (due to my M.S.) caused my L-4-5 and S-1 to collapse down on each other. This "significantly pinched" my nerve roots and caused numbness to my legs.

Finally I found a surgeon who was willing to do the fusion of my above mentioned vertabrea.

The pain still lingers on once in a while but for the most part, I am getting better day by day. I still go to Physical Therapy three times a week but that is a small price to pay for freedom from the chair.

If any of you are considering back surgery, find a good neurosurgeon and go for it.
