Arrow Hi Marijo

Marijo,
You sound so much like me,when it comes to taking Neurontin. I gained 30pounds in a short time. I told my Dr. and he said it won't make you gain weight. I said,"It may not, but I was so hungry that I did gain anyway. I hated it and knew from the forums that the same complain was coming in. So I was put on Cymbalta and the weight started coming off. I now have lost the 30 pounds with hard work and would like to loose more.

Now I have my OSS wanting me to go back on Neurontin. I said ok,for a short while, because I don't have to go and buy it But I will not stay on it & gain all that weight back again.

I have never been on Topamax before. Is it for neuropathy? I have so much leg pain, but I do think some of the numbness has let up. I too, have trouble sleeping and if I get 4 hours, most of the time it is enough.

Well I better back on out of here tonight. I have been sleepy all evening.
Blessings,
Billie

Default Topamax

I take it as a gentler for of cymbalta for neuropathy. I started off on 25mgs, and built up gradually to 200mg. No weight gain. However, the nerve pain is now kicking in halfway between doses. My GP. wont let me take any more.Certain things trigger pain also, like hot, ie if I get hot, take a hot or alcoholic drink, or when I eat, (not always ). Next week I see about spinal stim, and two weeks after that I go to see my Gastro intestinal specialist. I have had loads of investigations this past year, and I get the final decision next visit. Lower colon is not working and I have to take handfuls of helpers, and I have another prolapse in those regions...YUK...to add to collection, which will have to be treated surgically, before they decide how to treat non functioning rear. Aint it wonderful. I think they will have to remove the non functioning bit, and then they have suggested a sacral stimulator, to help with muscle functiion of intestine. I could end up like an all singing and dancing robot.
My gorgeous grandchild is a year old on Saturday. She is the sweetest little thing. I cant believe how the year has flown.
