Angry Has anyone had any success getting in to see or had surgery w/DrJho in Pittsburgh....

I have been trying to get in front of Dr Jho in Pittsburgh, PA. I understand that he is perhaps one of the leading guys in his field, but I can't seem to get a response from him or his office.
I need help sooner rather than later and, if I don't hear from him, I need to move on...............help!!!!
As I said in the subject line.............anyone had any luck ....oh, and by the way, does anyone have an opinion on Dr. Jho................Thanks.

Hi, I have talked with others that have had surgery done by him.
However I'm not one, I e-mailed him with my problems and he got right back to me and I sent my film and reports and he got back to me very shortly only he was sorry that he was unable to help me.
Have you e-mailed him, or just called the office?
I do know that I have heard from many that he is not always a easy one to get hold of.
However I do know I have seen others post about a couple of other drs that are suppose to be right up there with him as far as quailty, I'm sorry I just can't remember their names, hopefully someone will be along soon that does.
Good luck and please let us know how it goes.
Linda

I had a strange telephone experience with the famous jho. He called me on a Sun. afternoon after I had sent my MRI's to his clinic. It has been five weeks since I sent them and he caught me off guard. His accent made it very difficult for me to understand what he was saying and he was in a big hurry. He said his staff would be contacting me for an appointment....never happened. Ended up with locally done ACDF.

Hi Linda,
Thanks for the information. It seems rather odd that the day I send out this thread is the very day that I make contact with Dr. Jho's office.
The fact of the matter is that I have been in contact with his office but have been unable, until today, to communicate with his PAs...........
Like you, I had sent my MRI study to him about a month and a half ago and it wasn't until today that I actuallly spoke with someone....
The short of the long is that Drl Jho believes that he can help me, although it may take to procedures............Anyway, I am cautiously optimistic. Looks like I will be packing my bags for Pittsburgh!
By the way, I do know of other surgeons who do similar endoscopic procedures, CA and FL, but he appears to rise to top...........Thanks again for the comments. -Phil

Phil, I'm happy to hear that it's working out for you..
Do you have an app. as of yet with him? I hope so as I have heard from others that they can be hard to get.
However it sounds as if things are looking up for you. Please if you can post and let us know how the procedure works for you.
The best of luck to you and may you have a full, speedy recovery.
Linda

I had surgery with Jho a year and a half ago. I had an account on the old board under the thread title 'My Journey to Cervical Spine Surgery". A google might bring up a cached copy. PM me with any questions. I've been happy with the results.

Here's the original post:
