My summer has been PACKED with doctor appts and therapy and counseling for me and the boys. My doctor now says Im having seizures on top of all my other medical problems. We think they are the partials as I dont lose conciousness. I had a neuro who we think is a quack. All this year he hasnt really tried to find out why Im losing my balance or why my headaches are increasing. He just says he thinks Im losing my balance because of my bone structure . I dont think so. He doesnt believe the seizure stuff. My primary wanted me to see a neuro closer here to home. She is dropping the blue cross Med-i-cal which I have (secondary) so I get to drop that neuro .

The new neuro ordered new MRI's on my brain and spine (tho not my lower spine which has all my spinal problems) to see if he can find why my balance problems and headaches. I see him again this month. My primary increased my Topomax for my seizures.

I know my back has gotten worse. The pain has started going down my leg. The neuropathy has gotten LOTS worse in my feet and hands. Instead of occasionally its now ALL the time and ANYTIME I put any kind of pressure on my hands or feet. My back surgeon put my on Lyrica for the neuropathy and it hasnt done ANYTHING to help it... all it has done is made me walk into walls and more "loopy" and lose my hair.. Im going to tell him I want OFF IT.

Anyway.. Oh... Monday I was on my way to P/T and heard a "clunk" while driving. I thought it was something of the boys falling or my walker falling.. Got to P/T and my gearshift wouldnt go out of drive.. I thought my Tranny went out.. while waiting to figure out what to do and have van towed home.. I locked my keys in the van.. Got the van home later that day and later that night my brother checked the van and found I was a miracle to be alive.. the Frame under the van (under my seat) BROKE WHILE I was driving!!! My brother said that by the linkage locking up it probably saved the steering column from falling out. God was watching out for me. BUT now I live 15 miles from town and have NO van/car and NEED one but cant seem to get a loan from any bank/place to buy the van I want with a lift. Today Im using my ex's old car but not sure if my walker will fit in it when I put all 4 boys in it. He is also telling me NOT to RUIN his car... its a OLD beat up car already. HE is the one that gets in MORE accidents than I do.
uggggggg Sorry this is so long.

My stitches are still in. It seems that I have an allergy to the Bacitracin Zn/Poly-B ointment I had to apply to each eyelid. The eyelids were way to swollen for the doc to remove the stitches. I am taking Benadryl and continue with cold packs to get the swelling to go down and I go back again on Tuesday. My eye are still itchy, but the swelling is down a tad. With my luck, I probally allergic to the stiches!

Default John posted a note

for those of you who may have given up on BThastypastry, I clicked on it and John L. left a note of why it has been down so long. Hardware/software/ and travel situations.

Now back to that popping back thing. It is a daily thing for me now and guess what, pain levels have plummeted since the popping started. I can make it happen now and sometimes you can hear it in another room!

The pop and pops are just below the cervical surgery area. Maybe, just maybe the tensed up muscles there are starting to let go and allow my spine to adjust itsself. Isn't that what popping is all about? I've know folks for years who love to pop their backs or get their backs popped going...aaaahhhhh after especially a sequenced multi pop.

Oh..for all y'all out there taking care of the infirm, I have joined your boat. I had no idea this would befall me. After my mother died her husband has gone steadily down hill. I never really new the man that well but boy I do now! He refuses clinical VA/SS help and relies on me and my brother to get 'r done for him. We can't always be around though...don't know what to do.

Peace and love from AL
