i had a laminectomy one year ago due to nerves going numb below my butt if i stood or walked for more than 5 minutes. that overall lower numbness has gotten much better post surgery, but i still have weakness going up stairs ( especially after sitting on hard surfaces ) and also tingling/numbness in feet/shins has not improved much ( note-never did have much pain either before or after surgery ). any thoughts, ideas, suggestions?

First...hello to you, glad to have you visiting here. I am SI joint injured and also have some cervical problems. Stair climbing, walking, sitting, even getting up from a chair are very difficult. I have seen some lumbar patients say that they have had SI joint problems after lumbar issues.
Perhaps if you do the search here...SI joint...there is excellent info, very detailed and easy to understand....you may see if these symptoms you are having a relative.....
