Had an epidural injection last week for herniated disc c-6/c-7 and I feel like it actually made me worse in a way. There is a muscle or tendon in my right shoulder blade area that is so painful to the touch, and I didn't notice that before the injection. I was just wondering if anyone had a similar experience with these epidural injections. Is it possible that it caused this extreme tenderness in that area or could this just be a normal development from the herniated disc?

It's not uncommon to have a temporary worsening of symptoms for a few days following injections.
If it doesn't subside - within a few days, and I'd give it between 3 and 5 - I'd contact the doc's office.
