hi all,
hehe i am grinning ear to ear right now and i am not even awake!! hehe

I am now into the 13th month post fusion. I am about 90% fused. The xray looks pretty good, but very strange to me.
I have just had my first two morning where i had NO back pain for a little while. It was amazing.
Unfortunately (isn't there always a but?) both my legs are not good. I have the burning, cramping, charlie-horse, numb feelings all the time. Its looking like this is the way it will stay. Better some days, worse others. I am in pm now with my pcp. Only on the same meds (vicodin, flexaryl, trileptal).
I won't take anything stronger in the pain med group. In fact, when i go back in december, we are going to assess my tummy and see if there is an nsaid i could take instead.

And so it goes. You all know the drill. I do believe i am one of the very lucky. I am getting my life back little by little. I know i won't be 100% ever. But i bet i can get to 75%.

hugs,
sims

now off to see how the rest of you are doing.

Hi Simby....
It's so good to hear you are healing well. I'm sorry about the lingering problems with your legs, but all in all, it sounds very good. I've followed your posts for years (so it seems) and watched you going thru so much pain. Wasn't it you that remodeled your kitchen and had your counter tops heightened? I once owned a house that had previous owners both over 6'. They also put in higher countertops. I loved them.

It's really nice to see more and more names from OBT. I hope everyone makes their way back. Lots of us had a hard time without our friends/family connection. I was advised that the owner of TCL registered here on 8/29. It seems odd that it wasn't posted on her forum to let you all know. Put out the word to those you may know that are still needing the forums for support, love, friendship and lots of knowledge. We need to get this place built up even if BT does come back. No such thing as too much of a good thing!

I expect many will go to both boards.......but that's just me taking a wild guess.

Be Good to yourself and enjoy the gorgeous Fall in the NE.

I just found out about this new board! Familiar names!!! gjzh tipped me off, since I was hanging over @ the Back Pain forum. Saw a few familiar names over there, too. I dumped the Les C. in favor of my alter ego this time...

I hadn't visited too often @ the old one anymore, until I NEEDED it & it was down like a rock. Sims! Good to "see" you again. Sounds like you're getting along pretty well.

Hi everyone,

As an old time bt member it is wonderful to see the board back up and running. (with thanks to the new "mgmt")

I dont post often anymore like many who have semi recovered from our spinal injuries, but, do visit often and am willing to post for those needing help/info re:surgery results etc.

I cant express how helpful the orig. board was to me

Thanks for duplicating it

Dominic
