Default TENS Machine

Hello all,

well after a epidural steroid injection into T11-12 I am still in tremendous pain. Yesterday visit was 5 cotisone shots into my back, muscle relaxers, pain patches (by the way are worthless) and a presciption of PT and a TENS machine. Has anyone used this, I am at the point I will try anything. Let me know if you have had any luck with the TENS unit.

Thanks,
Michelle

I haven't used a TENS - but chiro uses IF stim and I use an EMS stim at home - I have mild muscle aches and pains
chiro uses low level laser also

Michelle,

I use a TENS Unit on my lumbar area quite a bit. It interrupts the pain signals and helps me to go about my day and keeps the intake of meds down. They definitely don't fix the problem but are used as a form of pain management. I think it is well worth having one.

Mine has 4 electrodes (patches) and a little battery operated box with buttons where you can set the frequency/mode and time.
