Default Follow through with surgery?

Anyone out there have a minimally invasive cervical foraminotomy? I'm scheduled for one on 9/3, but since the onset of my recurring (8 yrs off and on) arm and shoulder pain, my symptoms have eased quite a bit. Still have some aching and a little numbness and "pins and needles." Now I'm wondering whether to go through with the surgery.
