Heart What's on your plate.........

I thought that other plate was getting pretty full so...

Well the dirt man showed up with a gift certificate to Applebees cause he's so sorry about the condition of our yard. It really isn't his fault that it's under water still....with more rain in the forecast. He said he thought about raking the piles by hand but even a wheelbarrel would get stuck.

Then he decides that TODAY would be a good day to get started on trimming our bush line........something we had talked about starting in the spring.
(He must have spent all his $$ on Christmas... ) So...I now hear the buzzing of chain saws and the "ca Ching" of a cash register.

Cooper is thrilled for the company!

One of my girls got me a cookbook, The Barefoot Contessa for Christmas and I just made a dynamite sandwich for myself...fresh sliced mozarella, pesta sauce, and sliced tomato...grilled on the panini grill.

Je suis au regime!

Taking down the Christmas tree today as it is Epiphany.

Efren has the big meeting tonight at dinner. This has gone from casual lunch yesterday, nice dinner last night, very casual breakfast this morning and now dinner at a very, very nice restaurant. We really believe with this much effort that this guy is putting in to meet E, it must be an offer. Of course E has had to change his wardrobe many times...he's like a girl trying to figure out what to wear. Now he just has to remember to pick up his blue suit at the cleaners.

More dance lessons for Robert!

Now I'm going to eat leftover food from last night's dance!

Well, it's Sunday and I haven't decided about church yet. Hate to miss it but I think this "yard gang" is going to come back and finish the job.

It's amazing how many mulberry trees they cut out of the bushes..now our neighbors can really see the muddy water that used to be a yard.

My sister fixed a wonderful dinner for us last night...no peek stew, taboullie,
asparagus w/almonds in crackers in the crock pot, homemade rolls and cheesecake. Her kitty, Ruby, loved the ball I got her and played all night with it.

I had fun looking at her copy of Playboy from 1966....the ads for the new cars and the articles about bad boy O'Leary were a hoot.

I also read the letters people had written to her daughter Pam, when they knew that Hopice was called and that her dying from MS was a certainty.

Don't ever think that one person can't make a difference in your life, because they can!

It's Monday already!

Have to get Cooper to the vet for his haircut but wanted to sweep by (a broom reference... ) just to say that I remember now what has been missing in this forum and it's so wonderful to have him back. *whisper....are you short? You are constantly telling me things about yourself that I never knew. *grin

Heart

It's Tuesday...funny how that always happens after Monday...
UPS called last night (a recording) and said that a package would be delivered today and must be signed for. That means I can't go to Curves cause Mr.Alffe is in the reading program at an elementary school and his little kid is waiting for him. Hopefully they will come early and i can still go.

If not, there's always the treadmill....assuming it hasn't rusted for non use.

Cooper looks darling with his haircut...but I know he has to be cold when he goes outside...it's 28 this morning I wish he'd wear his coat.

Ok, what's on your plate?

Finally going back to work.... I'm off on Mondays so i had an extra day to get it together. We're suppose to be getting some nasty weather the end of the week, so... i stocked up on some of the essentials. bottled water, and canned meats, crackers and fruit.. LOL... you never know about the weather here. They're predicting several inches of ice. We'll see.....
Hope everybody has a good day today....

Hopefully all that ice will fall between here and there Miss V and none here or there! Just in case, I'm stocking up today too.

I'm headed to the post office and then some grocery shopping. Oh and zillions of errands in between.

have a great one my friends.
