I wonder why I don't want to be social tonight. My parents found out I wasn't doing anything for New Years Eve, so they invited me over, but I didn't want to go. I'd rather just sit here alone and pretend it's a normal night.
I wonder if that's wierd?

i don't think it's weird. and if you'd prefer to be alone than be with others, it seems perfectly reasonable to do so. Festivities can be exhausting when we don't feel social. Solitude doesn't equate to loneliness. If you desire solitude, then staying home sounds right for you, right now. Now if you feel lonely... it might be good to connect with your folks just to try to "break the spell" ... but only you would know if, in their company, you would actually feel less lonely or not.

LOL...nope, can't say that I am or ever have been high. My drug of choice is bourbon but not even having that. I am, however, enjoying the view up here.

and in turn... wonder its a fact my family here means everything.
