Default when it's cold...

It just got cold today here in the south...(geesh, thanks, the Alpho's for bringing the cold weather! LOL)

it has been in the 70's for the better part of the month...I guess I can say that I kinda miss the cold...

before anyone accuses me of being crazy...

I like the cold because it makes me appreciate the warmth...

have wonderful friends visiting makes my heart warm...especially when there is freezing rain pouring out there right now...

the vapors from a hot meal, makes me mouth watery warm...as I couldn't wait to dine on the wonderful morsels that will warm my stomach...

an old yet very cute cat wanting to jump on my lap while I type makes me feel warm both in and out...as I know that he is seeking warmth both in and out also...

a photo of my deceased father makes me feel warm...we've had a bitter relationship til he almost died...but in the end, I know that he does love me...and I know that there is no more pain for him...that makes my eyes warm with tears...

the thought of cooking up some ramen while cracking the window open a little bit makes me nostalgically warm...it brings back my poor college days when there were days when we could make each ramen packet last and thankful that they were 12 packs for a buck...and on a cold winters night( I didn't ALWAYS lived in the south, ya know? LOL), where there was a little crack by the dining room that our landlord won't fix...the breeze that seeped in made the noodles even more tasty and the broth more heart warming...almost as good as mama's chicken soup...it also makes me think of mama cause she was 100 miles away...

the thought of being able to come here on these nights, makes me feel warm from head to toe...knowing that there is a place, on this world wide web that I can come and find truly unique, wonderfully sweet, and understanding folks...that will hear me gripe, make and let me laugh...but most of all...care about me...it simply makes me warm deep within...

the thought of climbing into bed...snuggling with my wonderful and beautiful wife...gazing into her loving eyes and stroking her hair while she falls asleep in my arms...nothing could be warmer...

I hope you all stay and keep warm...no matter how...you warm my heart...

(((((hugs for the broom)))))

((((Mr. Moi))))

I can tell the Alffe's are there. I bet they have a little bit to do with all those warm fuzzy feelings.

Sometimes, people like you guys make me (kinda, sorta, but mostly not-so-much) want a husband so I seem more normal. And can go visit folks like you, and feel more 'normal'.

But, I don't, so I sigh and watch you guys and imagine what it would be like to have had someone, somewhere along the line, love me enough to want to spend the rest of their life with me. (I let the good ones get away. Naughty-boy syndrome messed up my life.)

Cold winters make me feel the same way. Time to snuggle up at home and let nature take it's course on the outside. Makes hot soup, cups of coffee, hot spiced apple cider, and such, much more enjoyable.

And I love my flannel sheets.

Hugs for the Mois and Alphos.

What an absolutely charming thread! Makes me a little sorry I voted no on the thank you button....*grin, but only a little.

The Moi's are still head over heels sappy in love and I'm getting a little tired of it! *big grin. And Doody, it's never too late for mr. right to enter the picture. Mr.Alffe and I got lucky and probably a little stubborn cause everyone said it would never last...we are too different.

I need to check my email before my time is up (computer time, not lifetime)

More hugs.
