What is a hug?

So many meanings inside one hug.
To embrace, to squeeze, to hold out loud,
Showing the receiver their not alone in a crowd
More than one hug is a sheer delight,
Most Children adore them, before sleep at night.
A friend in need warrants a good squeeze,
And a long sincere hug brings men to their knees
Arm’s that are folded, tightly around flesh
Help dry up sad tears and tidy up distress
What’s in a hug, a thousand and one tales, all said in a muddle?
Silence in clinched arms, speaks volumes inside a big cuddle
