How do you find the strength as a parent? I constantly ask my kids if they have thoughts of suicide to please let me or somebody know. I wouldn't know how I would react if this happened to me. I hope it never does, but, to those who it has happened to you have my deepest sympathy. I'm new here and so I use a lot of music in my post, hope it's o.k.

![]() Strength? It never was in our vocabulary...when our only son killed himself..it's been 20 years ago this last January so I can say we did manage to live though it...but we are, as a family, forever changed. I am so glad to read that you talk to your kids about what they are feeling...so many, many, people are afraid to talk about "it" for fear of saying the wrong thing, or of "planting" a thought...talking about it educates people, ![]() Love that song...and I can listen now without tears.... ![]()
