Default Sleep study

I had my sleep study last night. Of course, it wasn't typical for me at all.

I didn't snort, snore, grind my teeth, whimper, moan, groan or nothing. What I did do was wake up about 3 am and never go back to sleep, I thought. She said I did. She said I never went into a full deep sleep and that I tossed and turned and moved my legs a lot.

But no gasping for breath, no stopping of breathing, no snorting or snoring or moaning as I've been told I do.

Big sigh. I don't see the doctor for the results for a couple weeks.

I doubt that once is enough for a true picture. (((Hugs)))

I agree with alffe...
You know, when they put you in an environment that is unfamiliar.
It takes some adjusting.I think they should have set you up for a couple nights in a row.
Not what you want to do,i'm sure. However maybe they could get better results?

Doody, I've never had a sleep study done, but can imagine it would be extremely difficult to copy my regular night of tossing and turning. Do you think you have sleep apnea? I know a few people with sleep apnea and they were always so tired and sore all day. Once they got their breathing under better control at night, they were different people. I don't know how they think they can get a good picture from just one night in such a strange environment.
I sure hope you get some answers soon.

Yes, and I forgot my own pillow too, and their pillows were awful, not to mention the bed, lol.

Plus, you have umteen electrodes and wires hooked all over your head and ON your nose! And on your foot and ankle.

I don't know. When I see the doctor I'll ask about a second test. 2 people at work use the CPAPs and said it really changed their lives for the better. Less fatigue during the day. I've slept horribly ever since I was a young adult, so I dunno. But this snoring and stopping breathing is something that started in the last year or so.

I won't tell you what my daughter said I sound like at night, LOLOL! Something in reference to a pig.
