Default Hi, just droppin' in for a Hug...

Hi Y'all,
Sorry I've been scarce. I've been on the PN board (some of you hugged me there) and saw that I'm a little bummed about what's up over there but I'm kind of getting run over by a train this week. I'll try to hit the highlights.
1. Dr. still can't find the cause of my Neuropathy, just raised the amts. of pain meds. (frustrating that he can't find the cause, helpful that the pain meds are increased).
2. COO of our company is retiring, my boss is getting big promotion, that means that as his Admin, I'm getting a promotion too. (that's a good thing, more money, but also more responsibility)
3. My daughters and I are leaving our rented 4 bedroom house and going to 2 apartments, I'm getting my own apartment, and they are getting an apartment together. I'll get the granddaughter 2 nights a week when my daughter is in school. First time I've ever been away from granddaughter, and she is going to be 4 years old in April. I need the emotional space, daughter is too stressful to live with, but I'll miss my grand baby.
4. Moving with PN is really going to be physically hard.
5. My mothers suicide in '03, the baby's birth in '03, and my divorce in '03 caused my breakdown in '04. When I signed divorce papers and we did our taxes, I "trusted" that my Ex-husband would do as he promised and use the money from the re-fi on the house to pay our taxes. He did not, he is now on disability and can't pay the taxes. The IRS has now garnished my wages and is taking our 03 taxes from my income. I have had 1500.00 taken from my monthly income of only 3000.00. They will do this for three months!
6. Oh, did I tell you that rent for an apartment here in Silicon Valley is no less than 1200.00 a month?
7. Our lease at the house is up in One month. Makes getting a deposit together and moving a real tough job!
8. Called my step dad to ask for a loan, (Mom's husband when she committed suicide) and he said, "You're a tough kid, you'll find a way out of this, you always do!" That's what I've heard all my life! That's why I'm 47 years old, been divorced 17 years, (except for my stupid 2 year mistake from 01 to 03) never could depend on a man, can't ask for help even when I need it, and feel like if someone does do something for me, it's because they always want something in return! Nobody does something for nothing! Not men anyway.

So, now I have to find a way to come up with over $3000.00 to move with, $2000.00 to pay rent next month, $500.00 to pay utilities to keep us warm and fed until we move, and $100.00 for gas to keep my minivan running to and from work for a month to earn the money. Oh, did I mention that my credit is ruined because of my ex-husband's shenannigans?

Ain't life grand?

Even if you think you're divorced, you still keep getting screwed up to four years later when you thought you were out of the picture!

Time for some creative thinking!

Consider yourself hugged.

Check with the IRS and see if they will renegotiate that amount. My husband has owed much more than that and we never had to pay that much at a time. Tell them you need to move to save money to get this paid off, but that you need a break. Taking half your salary is too excessive.

And how about another hug??!!

Wow, (((Seams))). What a predicament. Nobody can tell me that money doesn't buy happiness because all I know is that when I don't have it, it causes a lot of unhappiness and depression and stress.

Lots of hugs.

I just wanted to drop in and off a hug to Seams and anyone else who needs one. Money doesn't get it although not having any sucks....I've had it both ways and trust me....it isn't about $$. I think it's about having good health and a loving family....and friends that care.

Hugs for the room.
