My daughter stayed with me last night, it was nice. She had to work this morning so just spent the night here. When she gets off at noon I will take her home.

Otherwise, I don't plan on too much. I need to make a home visit to someone in Des Moines who wants to adopt a lovely little guy from Hearts United for Animals. The home visit is the last in the approval. However, yesterday I came home at lunch. I just don't feel so well and never know if it's the darned fibro or not. You can get flu symptoms with fibro too, so I don't know. Sore throat etc., and that's how I feel.

Anyway, here's the cute little weiner she wants to adopt...Moose... http://hua.org/component/animals/?id=278

Ms. Alffe, it all sounds like so much fun! Those pictures are stunning, especially from the apartment window. 18th floor? ACK!!!! Does the building sway in that Chicago wind???

I'm sorry you don't feel well Doody. I bet it's the dang changes in the weather that effects so many of us. It's supposed to go up to 60 today and it's beautiful outside..we just got back from taking the bus up to Ukrainevillage and that incredible bakery...http://www.yelp.com/biz/la-farine-bakery-chicago

Bought goodies for tonight and got another hug from my great niece..

Mr.Alffe walked over to the movie theatre to get tickets for that show about FB that he "thinks" he wants to see.
So many people out walking their dogs...we miss Cassie and will be glad to see her tomorrow evening.

Default what happens on a good day

my dad and i sang who let the dogs out to the tune of ride of the valkyries and accompanied ourselves on banjo and slide guitar. the dog voice was more of a halloween howl than a woof woof woof woof.

We had such a good time with my sister & her husband last night. At the Irish pub, all the waiters and mgrs. were in costume...I thought of doody as one guy looked just like Johny Dep (sp?) in costume from Alice thru the Looking glass. some of us ordered "small plates" and shared...good way to do this as they were anything but small..brother inlaw was "tickled pink" that I brought a bottle of Layer Cake wine to share before going out.
And he went on a small rant....about the pink top of the Wriggly Bldg..said if they would put all the $$ spent on breast cancer awareness month into research, we'd be alot closer to finding a cure. Mr.Alffe said he was just jealous because there isn't a prostate cancer awareness month.....

Thinking about our Cassie missing her scrambled eggs & bacon w/her breakfast this Sunday morning..she'll be happy to be sleeping in her/our own bed tonight..

Looking out the windows here..lots of people walking their dogs..we noticed the same thing in NYC..obviously you can live in a big city and still have a dog.

What a coincidence! I just posted a video with the song WHO LET THE DOGS OUT! on my FB page, LOL! It's hard to sit still when that song is playing.

Johnny Depp? YUM!

Well, I'm going to DSM this afternoon. 2:30 I have an appointment to check out the person who wants to adopt Moose.

Still have a nasty sore throat and all globbed up.

hmm, well today, I take the monster to herr cousins house for trick or treating, she will then go home with "hunny", while I take my parents to the big city of Lincoln.
Monday morning early we get up in our hotel roomand take my dad to his multiple cardiology appts. Then depending on those we come home or go to the hospital for yet more surgery.
Tuesday if we are home I have the day off for R&R
Then work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday in OR, all long days and multiple procedures. Have Saturday off so far then work on the Floor Sunday

(((Goofy))) Your post brought back a lot of memories of my dad in the nursing home....they used to tie him into his chair and I hated that but I guess it would keep him from falling. On the other hand, they had no patio so he never got outside except for my occasionally taking him to a dr. apt...always had to hurry him back before that "sundown psychosis" came on. He was the neatest guy before that awful downhill slide changed everything. That's the guy we all remember.

We are glad to be home and boy, Cassie wants to do EVERYTHING at the same time..she's making sure that she still can.. I think being in a cage, next to other dogs, brought back a lot of memories for her.

Going to have lunch with Barbo today and get caught up.

So glad to have Tom back. And thinking about our Pooh in her travels today.

Doody, I hope you feel better...how was the apt and will they adopt Moose?

Today I stayed home but thought I'd check in for a few minutes, then back to lay down. I feel crappy from the neck up from whatever this virus is, and crappy from the neck down with the fibro, LOL! Laying on the couch with Bruna all snuggled next to me.

I can just imagine Cassie! Romping around checking stuff out. And I assume she'll be going on one of those lovely walks with Mr. Alffe.

Yes, Ms. Alffe, I made it to the appointment. Moose will be staying at HUA until just the right home is found for him.

Back to the couch. Dam ears hurt too.

Alffee, did you see the FB movie and what did you think? I haven't seen it... I'm one of those people that sees things years later when it shows up on tv... lol

Ah, my Goofy friend... I'm so sorry to hear about your FIL again... what a shame! (((hugs)))...

And Doody-sis... sorry that even your ears are hurting! I hope you have comfy cozy pjs, a blanket and your favourite hot drink to bring in front of the tv or with a good book.

I'm at work today... a very gloomy rainy day down by the oceans so sales have been slow. Lots of time for me to read my book and catch up here

xo all Addy
