Default Your Thoughts Please

I know someone who almost succeeded in killing themselves although I am not certain if it was intentional or accidental but it was still caused from this person going through a bad time. Their doctor wants them to have a psych evauation. I just don't think she is going to follow through with her appointment. Do you consider her at high risk for another incident?

Yes I believe she is high risk. Please encourage her to follow through with the appointment. (((((sadeyesr4ever)))))

sadeyes I hope you will get a copy of this book....either for her to read, or for you to read. It's soft cover...probably cheaper on Amazon.

SUICIDE, The Forever Decision by Paul Quinnett

It is written in a conversational style for those who are thinking about suicide and for those who know, Love or Counsel them.

Here are a few of the books' reviews:

"This book of wise counsel can be enormously helpful to everybody weighed down by life and especially to those driven cruelly to its farthest edge. It casts a vote for what is healthy, even if imperfect about us, and helps us to choose life, even if painful, as still filled with hope, wonder, and the possibilities of love. It could not come at a better time."

-Eugene Kennedy, Psychologist and Author

**********************************

I was afraid to talk about being suicidal because you would think I was crazy, but when I read this book it showed me lots of people have the same trouble I do, and I can begin to deal with it now.

-l7-year old girl

*************************************************

June 15 of this year I was calmly working out the details of my suicide when I remembered your book, which I had not read. So I read it...all night. I am writing to tell you that you may have saved my life."

-A Reader of the first edition, to the Author

**********************

My words here...please don't be afraid to talk to her about her plans. Ask her if she plans on trying this again..as long as you treat her with the love, respect and honesty that she desperately needs...she most probably will talk to you.

And most importantly....if she opens up....LISTEN to her.

I think she has quite a friend in you.
