good flights home..every thing ran on time and it was 48 degrees, felt like 35 after Florida weather. ;)

So happy to get Cassie, who suprised us by being so fluffy...they didn't give her the promised haircut...only a bath (new girl at ck in) so one day soon she'll go back for the cut but not right away...she enjoyed sleeping on the kingsized bed and so did we. :D

Need to get the laundry done and some groceries in. Also need to fill the bird feeders. It's raining this morning..a lot less snow here but still those hugh piles where it was plowed.

Hugs for the room....what's on your plate? :grouphug:

Maybe, in light of the terrible news coming from Japan, the media will stop talking about Charlie Sheen...I feel like we are all watching him die..:(
The wind has picked up here and shredded the end of our flag so I took it down and will replace it.

There was an awful story in this mornings newspaper about a young woman, in a neighboring town, sitting down on the railroad tracks and waited for the train to run over her. They found her purse nearby with a note to her family saying that she was sorry. :(

I've learned that our support group will now meet two times a month because of an increase in attendees....a sign of the times. :(

Have I cheered anyone up yet? :o

Hurrah!! I've changed all my clocks even complicated ones like the microwave and kitchen range. Sound like a small accomplishment? Not for me!!
AND --- ta da --- I put new batteries in two smoke detectors. I did it, I did it all by myself.

Alffe 03-13-2011 06:53 AM

good for you wren and thanks for the reminder...I just changed the clock on this computer.

I have to rant a bit here,am listening to Cspan's call in segment, like I do every Sunday morning and it is ALL about nuclear power...the pro's & cons..and coming up they will talk about ALL THINGS POLITICAL...

The media ticks me off....what about all the people in Japan who are thirsty and hungry and missing and afraid and their children...????

I know Dad..I can "hear" you talking about the importance of a free & vigorous press but our priorities, our compassion are surely "out of wack".

Like Abbie said.....please send prayers for this country.

Alffe, that's why I listen and watch BBC ... or I turn the tv off... I am now having flood dreams (was involved in a small flood when I was a teenager).

I'm doing what I can to remain positive about my job future, watching the rain fall, organizing my life and researching my options.

I'm happy.

W.O.Y.P=

More than i want/require or can cope with......i would prefer to leave most of it..

.even share it out with others/ or then again

i might just eat eat it all myself..

.in the hope and belief others then... dont have to cope with more than they can tollerate.

hopefully in time........... my plate will be lighter...............

containing.... the more digestible and lighter delights of life

I LIVE IN CONSTANT HOPE

David
