Quite a bit lately...finally got the yard cleaned up after that huge storm..the county decided to give us a break due to the severity of it and said they would do a pick up if we took it to the road....so we did and it's all out there..hope they are true to their word. The air is noisy with buzzing saws...everyone doing the same...thank goodness the weather has been lovely.

I went down to Kokomo and met my daughter and her girls for lunch. We had a nice visit and it was great to see them so happy together.

Barbo is in the hospital and hopefully feeling better today and I can take her home. Send positive thoughts please.

Next week I have the testing done, Bizi thinks they want a baseline. And we are looking forward to Biz & Jeff coming for a visit on Wed...she of course, requested sweet corn.. (it's an Indiana thing this time of year)

its a long story, but basically I"m waiting for a dear friends mom to pass so i can fly to Washington state and sing at her funeral... I'm really looking forward to seeing Rebecca again. i just wish i wasn't going there for that reason.

Thank you Koala for the hugs, prayers and for the positive thoughts. I don't think Barbo will be going home today...still has the IV and not on solid foods yet, but the pain is much better.

Goofy, if I had a bucket list...hearing you sing would also be on it!
And I can't help but wonder if you named your daughter after your dear friend???

Ah, poor Barbo is in some pain... I sure hope it isn't too bad and goes away quickly! Huge hugs for her!

I'm heading out of town for a few days - the weather is not summerlike - we have lots of rain and its muggy at times but I'll be with my cousin and family and that's fun! A bus ride, two ferry rides and I'm there!

So I better get a move on right now!

Addy I hope you have a whole bunch of fun! Mr.Alffe and I are going to that Tom Hanks movie this afternoon....don't even care that the New Yorker Mag gave it a pud review. We worked hard enough yesterday to sit on our butts today. *grin

I went to church this morning to paint and paint and paint -- very, very hot.
Not as hot as the young man working in the un-airconditioned new building.
So I drove across town to WalMart (very near my home) to get some watermelon. They had none so I drove back into town to the grocery near church, go the watermelons and headed back home. whew. Removed the rind, seeds and chopped the melons - loaded it into big plastic bags, put it in 'fridge and dived into bed for nap. Got up and drove the watermelon, cookies and candy to that dear, lovely young man. Back home. Hurrah

Not only saw and liked the movie but got to take Barbo home afterwards! I bet her kitty, Ruby was thrilled to see her.

Wren, that is so like you to take the time and effort for that young man.
He'll always remember that kindness.

Waiting on Sis, Bro-N-Law, and THE KIDS!!! They should be here pretty soon!!! (They are HERE!!!!)

One niece and nephew left about and hour ago...they spent the day with Gma & Gpa... They'll be back tomorrow... their mom is in the hospital... some kind of surgery.

I'm happy to see the kids...but no energy to spend time with them... been in hospital myself... bad med interaction.
