Grin May I show you my lily field?

Well, the day lilies are barely starting to poke up.... in the meantime the daffodils are in mid-bloom. I have one hyacinth blooming and several in happy bud, lots of tulips coming up. ~sigh~ The deer will eat every hyacinth and tulip.

I could accuse you both of being cruel, , I used to have lovely flowerbeds.
Thank you Jingle....it's beautiful! But then, so are deer. I discovered more deer droopings than I'd ever dreamed possible by our snowball bush today!

Jingle how absolutely beautiful. I miss my Daffodils in Houston so much. You have inspired me to plant them next fall.

This beauty has made my day!!!

Oh thank you Jingle! I wanna come play with you and look at your flowers! I have green peeking out of my gardens, but no flowers. I did see some crocus blooming at the clinic when I left physical therapy today. I stood by them and was talking out loud, "HELLOOOOO beautiful little flowers!" Some people walking by looked at me kinda funny.

Those are awesomely beautiful!

We have a guy here in Iowa who was arrested recently and charged for killing a deer on his property out of season. Lord, my son-in-law and I go back and forth all the time on deer hunting, lol. They are absolutely my favorite wild animal. So graceful and beautiful. Ahh well, what are you gonna do when you have a son-in-law who's a man's man and wants to go out and hunt with the big boys.

And I can vouch for Alffe's beautiful flower gardens. I'm so sad they are gone after her yard got all dug up. They were absolutely stunning.

Thanks for all the purdy.

This space really is my lily field. The daffs are just to keep me waiting in the spring. But it is almost wall-to-wall with lilies -- all kinds, day lilies, Orientals, Asiatics, yadda yadda.
The soil is not suitable for fancy Orientals and every spring I say, "No more, back to day lilies", then rush to eBay and go crazy. I'm waiting for orders now. And I can't plant until I blow off those leaves.
Oh, good grief.

I LOVE oriental lilies. But the rabbit problem here is just terrible. The second those flowers pop up, the rabbits are all over them. Aargh.

My daughter is an iris freak. She has every kind of iris imaginable!

And I love daylillies! They just bloom and bloom and bloom. And I can hardly wait to see my lavendar.

lol...alffe..maybe if you didn't plant deer food this time.....

i am sorry about your lost flowers and bushes.

when i had the pipe leak..and the idoit plumbers who patched the cement, washed out their buckets on my lawn...i thought i would have a heart attack. i finally have grass there now. after digging down 4 inches and getting rid of all the cement filled dirt.

nice huh..just in time to move out. lol.

i wonder if jingle woud notice if we picked a few?
