Where is everyone? I am in my apartment hiding from the snow and cold. We got about 8 inches but Alffe got more like ten to twelve inches! Happy new year to everyone.

I'm just coming off working night shift .... sitting with tv on... 2nd cuppa coffee beside me, 1 cat sitting on the back of my chair, purring into my ear... other cat basking in the sunshine coming through the window. It rained snow here last night, too... almost all melted with threats of more to come.

Vicky - who is still wetter - you or the dog? (She wrote on Facebook that the dog is drier! )

Today the temp here soared up to 33* .... most of the snow is gone but the cold is lingering.

I cleaned a little, took care of some correspondence, brushed snow off my car - but didn't go any place. There is a celebration of the life of Martin Luther King tomorrow that I want to go to but I'm not sure if the roads are plowed enough. It is at 4 PM so I'll wait to see what happens during the day. I also watched some TV today - what did we do before we had TV??

Now that I have a pvr (recorder thingy on my tv) I'm not able to keep up with the shows I've saved... and I still watch crap! lol Have I mentioned I'm watching the whole tv series from the start - Mad Men. Just love it! They play 3 repeats every Sunday morning when I'm still sleeping... I'm doing a lot of knitting these days!

I too love Mad Men and am also asleep on Sunday when it plays. Whose hairbrained idea was it anyway to rerun it at such an inconvenient time?!
