Default Help

Where do I put the thread about just giving up?

If I was Spock, I would have had a brain freeze, logic doesn't seem right. Everything goes wrong even when right.

How long does it take to get to the bottom, you know, at the point you think you are at the bottom, however, you are pushed more, but you still fight, then you are pushed more... when is the pushing just too much?

And do not get me wrong, I know the forums I am in, and some have gotten raw deals in life, where my raw deal is mainly mental. I don't understand. Would I be happier in a wheelchair, and the way people treat me, rather than walking and beng treated like crap? I just feel like a loser.

I don't want to implode, I fight every day, I always help people, and actually probably do it more hoping it will make me better (aka, walking little old lady cross street I just crossed the other way because it is the right thing). I notice i don't smile a lot, but I feel stupid walking around alone smiling.

I want things in life.
I would love a wife and I would love a child, but I am 48 now.
I like the nice librarian look, I like a soft gentle woman to protect kind of woman. Freckles are cool But i am aging myself out of those dreams. And to meet someone in NYC, lol, NYC is the coldest place to meet people, you either know them from the past, or not.

Now with my life going on and that being a fight, I have Chloe and I have Boo, but I am an adult and to talk about my pets as family may not be right.

So, when is enough enough, and when it is enough, what do I do so to not lose everything and hurt loved ones.

Ugh

Ideas.

(Crap, from other posts, you can see I cannot even figure out how to eat correctly, I am a mess).

Well I don't want you to implode or give up, you are too young to throw in the towel on life. It sounds like you have a low self image. We can only help our selves sometimes...and I can only say what I do when depression comes lurking around. I get busy..maybe to distract myself from what I'm losing, or missing.
You could do volunteer work...help in schools..mentor kids..visit nursing homes...
I love New York City but then I only visit there and find people very friendly and helpful but I have white hair..

Do you do church?? Many churches have activities to participate in...do you like to read? Where do you walk your dogs?

Ooo

HI July63,

The best idea I can give you is to simply live in the moment.
I know its a cliche... and I know it isn't easy to do.

Write yourself a note and sticky-tape it everywhere!

The note could say:
  • It is what it is!
  • If it is to be, it is up to me!
  • Its a beautiful day!
  • Live in the moment.
  • What are you grateful for today?
  • Chose to be happy.

Be proud of who you are today. Don't look back... and don't look too far forward... live in the now.

Believe me... I don't always practice what I preach... I know how difficult it is... but for every day I try, I am one step closer to just loving myself for who I am.

You didn't come to a "give up" forum you came to a "pull up a chair, stay awhile, and receive the understanding/support" forum

Hey,

What about just living ?? Yeah, sort of what Addy said...

Like, we are here, why ? wish I know.... life hurts ? yeah, sometimes.... life is beautiful ?? not really... maybe, who knows... but we are here.... and maybe tomorrow will be a nice day and if we are not here, how would we know...

If you read my posts you will find out Im a mess too... and Im not a ffan of living but.... oh well... I always hope that everything I couldnt have in this life, I will have it "in the next one".... (next life, Heaven, next universe... you name it).

Lots of and come talk to us.

I'm sorry you're having such a difficult time right now.

It's ok to talk about your pets as family. Lots of us do that.

You say you're not eating correctly. That wouldn't be making you feel any better.

Keep busy and concentrate on today if you can. When feeling overwhelmed it's what I try to do.

Hope you're feeling stronger soon, but you must eat properly or at least supplement your diet.
