Thank you sooo much to everyone....
Right now we are at peace.... waiting on funeral arrangements and for everyone to make it safely home. I want to share a story that happened the other night... My older niece's (Ashley's sister) boyfriend and I were sitting on our front porch, this is the night before Ash passed. There was not a cloud in the sky. All of a sudden Shane and I were getting rained on... we looked around and only half of the porch and half of the driveway were getting wet along with where we were sitting. I looked at Shane and said...ya know, I wouldn't put it past Ash to be up there dumping water on us and laughing her behind off as she does this.... Honesly guys...the sky was bright blue, no clouds anywhere!!!! It made us smile...if only for a little while. Thanks for listening... Much luv to all! Abbie |
I love sharing these experiences Abbie...thank you! You are not the first to have "contact" with our loved ones. However it happens...it is incredible!! Hugs.

Here's another Ashley story...
When Ash was young she decided she wanted a big teddy bear... we thought ok, we'll find her one for Christmas. We began to look around for one... while we were looking we found out that she meant a BIG teddy bear, one bigger than her. I think she was about 4 at the time. We couldn't find one in our town anywhere. So off I go to the big city. After looking at many toy stores I finally found one...not a cheap one but a BIG one. I called my brother's and sister and we decided to chip in together to get this for her. I make the purchase and take it to the car. I was just going to lay it in the back seat of the car but I didn't want it to get banged around. So, I put it in the passenger seat next to me and buckled it in. You should have seen the looks I got...:D I found out that this teddy bear is still around....and very well loved if you know what I mean. I'm sure he was, he became a pillow to lay on and a sled to slide down the stairs...but he definitely was Ashley's buddy for quite a few years....money well spent. :) Thanks for letting me ramble, Abbie |
(((Abbie))) My sincere condolences and love to you.

Thank you!
I want to thank everyone for their prayers, positive thoughts, and concern for Ashley and my family.
We layed Ashley to rest on Thursday. It was very sad and many tears were shed, though we had several moments of laughter too. Her friends sharing stories that we had never heard. I had one moment where I didn't know whether my heart wanted to cry or laugh. My heart was breaking because she was gone but then I noticed that someone had painted one (pinky) finger pink, the others were a greenish. Ashley absolutely hated pink. We always threatened to get her something pink...and she would argue with us...oh boy would she argue. As we left the funeral home my car was 6th in line... I looked in my rear view at one point I was at the bottom of a very long hill and there were still cars making the turn onto the top of the hill. We were told there were at least 100 cars with no less than 2 people per car, most with 4 people. We could never have imagined the number of friends that Ashley had or the number of lives that she touched. Ashley now lives on in pictures but mostly in our hearts. We still have no answers as to what happened but we know she is at peace and that our Lord as one beautiful new angel...even though she has a bit of an ornery side. We know that someday we will see her again. Thank you my friends!! You have really helped me as I get through the toughest part of my life....so far. Love to all. Abbie |
