Well, its a "day-off" ... my living space looks like a bomb hit it... I don't care if it gets clean ... its a beautiful sun-shining kinda day :D

 Well, it's an afternoon off. Early every day this week I've been at church school cleaning so I can get painting. Today I was just worn out so I headed home to dive into bed .......... Well, rats, Charter is here working on the wiring for everything in my house. They said they might need me and will ring my doorbell when they leave.
I can't dive into bed so :D all I can do it eat!

Eat? Eat!! That reminds me .... I found a new chocolate chip cookie recipe that's the very best thing I've ever tasted. If anyone wants it - let me know.

Alffe 09-15-2012 08:17 AM

Yes, recipe please! I need to make cookies again for my trashman. Our new neighbor had their trees removed and the sun is pouring into both our yards. So I attacked the bushes that line our properties....

Made bread this morning ((((moi)))) and it's rising as I type. I found a huge dead brown bunny...mostly eaten :( and we can't decide what got it....Mr.Alffe suspects a coyote ....

Think we'll go up to McCoys for lunch.

What's on your plate?

I'm going to travel across the lower mainland (that's what we call Vancouver and all the municipalities that have grown together with no obvious borders) for 3 hours round trip - will cost me $5 - using Translink (bus and skytrain). My company is paying me $35 travel (yay! an extra $30 for my pocket!) plus my hourly wage to price audit a large supermarket. I'll do this again tomorrow for another store.... so, double the $$ again!

AND... one of my friends saw the hat I posted on Facebook (and here)... and has ordered one from me! I've no idea what to charge - everyone is suggesting way more than what I'd pay... but then, to me, it seems easy to make... and so, I think its worth less. Um... ok.... my time is worth something... :)

The weather is beautiful... we're being blessed with a very dry summer's end.

4 years ago, Grand-Addy was born! She's celebrating her birthday with little friends at a splatter paint party. Party is costing $200 :o ... I say she needs a bed more than she needs this party... but.. who am I...

Abbie 09-16-2012 08:42 PM

Went out to eat @ Dog-n-Suds with a friend, then to the ice cream shoppe...mmmmm.

Now I'm sitting here playing with my nook debating on if I am ready to go to bed or not.

Thinking of ya'll!!!

Its another freakinly beautiful sunny day out there again! and... another day-off for me... however, I'm on a role (roll?!!) to get things done around here.

I'm on the ground floor so have opened all my doors and windows - the sun is shining in brightly... The Price is Right is on TV... have always loved that show!... noise on in the background... I hardly watch...

Walked a lovely trail in the woods yesterday... feeling the muscles a bit sore today... and that's ok!

The water is still warm in the pool... whooo-hooo!

Work, classes, work classes until Sunday then watch out I will be unhappy if anybody bothers me and my beauty rest:D

Performance

Tomorrow our little balalaika orchestra will be performing for a retirement home audience. Been practicing all day.

Alffe 09-23-2012 07:42 AM

I wish I could hear your little orchestra play tied... And poo, it's Sunday so I hope no one bothers your day of rest.

Addy who cares what the house looks like!! I'm forced to clean as my little sister is coming for a short visit..she has a cleaning lady...I am my cleaning lady and I could draw pictures in the dust!

Also going to make bad a s s soup....wren those cookeies are almost all gone already...thanks! You and I both love to cook (bake)

Notre Dame won last night...beat Michigan so the fans are happy. Barbo said the Good Year Blimp was here for it...that's always fun and reminds me that Mr.Alffe always tells her they are looking in her windows (she is up so high..great view!)

Mr.Alffe finally turned on the heat...it was down to 61 in here!!
