Default So this is Spring????

I know April showers bring may flowers but this is ridiculous. We've had over 6 inches of rain and now it's snowing.

This was on my way to work this morning

And this is what I drove home in ( lot of white knuckle driving)

And this is what I came home to. My poor Hyacinths. I was so proud of them.

Now the wind is blowing and it's gusting to 50mph. So far we haven't lost power but all the trees are heavy with snow.

Time to get the snow blower out. I can't believe I have to use it again. I had it all cleaned and ready for summer.

Oh BJ...nothing is more fragrant than hyacinths! Are you drying out now?

We had the Baltimore orioles return yesterday...I thought it must be time for their arrival because they like to eat the Apple blossoms and it's blooming some. We put out the grape jelly and sliced oranges...even saw one at the suet. Even when they are hiding....you can hear them singing. I love it.

No rain in the forecast for 7 days Alffe. But in rained Sunday and it poured yesterday morning. They better not even mention "drought" this year and forbid me to water my lawn or flowers.

I love the smell of hyacinths, it's Spring in all it's glory and new beginnings.

I don't have Baltimore orioles here but I have lots of birds and critters in my hard. I'm having a heck of a time with the crows. Yesterday I saw one knocking a mother morning dove right out of her nest. I thought she was hurt but finally flew away. And this morning she's back on her nest.

BTW, what's a "suet" ?

Suet is food for the birdies.
I will let alffe edumacate you on exactlly what is in it..LOL
I hope you dry out soon.
My hyacinths looked deformed this year.
I was hoping they would all bloom, but instead they only had a few sparse flowers
Maybe next yr.
I do have a beautiful white lilac bush{3rd yr and i knew it would bloom finally}.I thought the last snow had killed it ,but i have blooms coming out.
Only a few but it makes me happy!
