Ok...I have a lot on my plate today. The big annual plant sale is on at Fernwood Gardens and I hope to find some trillium since mine got plowed under.
I have to make a salad for the church luncheon..even Mr.Alffe is going to hear the speaker. Tonight there's a dinner and I'm looking forward to the food...polish. Yum!!

I'm drinking coffee out of my dragonfly cup and thinking about moi...*grin
I shutter at the obits..."fighting a courageous battle" and losing to cancer.

Also reading about pandemic flu planning....~sigh

Have a great day.

Wondering how my aunt is doing as today shes having some tests run on her heart.... AND wondering where da heck that pesky lizard is that i found crawling across our den floor yesterday... they sure are fast
Off to work here in a little bit, This evening Scott has his end of the year choir concert. Its always bitter sweet. About the middle of the concert, the seniors have a rose ceremony... Each of them come off the stage and give a rose to their parents and sit with them for the rest of the concert. There is a big slide show about each senior. very much a tear jerker... to everybody

Busy day ahead for me too .... We'll take off for hospital at 4:00 AM tomorrow and I have to get the the house ready for my absence and my return. I won't feel good.
I have to pack a little suitcase too.
Preparing cat food and bird food is not easy.
I keep thinking of things.

I wrote to some friends and told them they would not hear from me for just a bit and when I returned I might sound "funny" because the surgeon said I would have very serious trouble with speech, word finding and short term memory. It would take a while for the right side of my brain to repair the damage to the left.

One man wrote back:
Hey, no problem.
Just remember, that’s what the surgeon said.
The book I read says, “By His stripes we ARE healed!”
Praying for your complete healing!
We love you.

Isn't that incredible?

Not sure yet. It's only half past 4. I'm glad it's Friday though.
Going to be another warm day. Winter is only about 12 days away and it's been a long summer indeed with 27C / around 80f every day. Can't complain from down under really. Oh, I forgot, I can complain. Water restrictions up to level 5 now. It's actually level 5 with a 140 litre target per person per day. I'm a bit of a water freak and I just want to get out the hose and hose everything down but I can't use a hose or do any of that anymore.

Sending get well wishes your way {{{{wren}}}}

My top of my thumb was almost on my plate last night*sigh*

I tend to work fast and am always being told to slow it down....

I had to precook bacon last night at work, then slice it..I accidently sliced a good bit into my thumb as well!!!

I tried all night to get it to stop bleeding...It wouldn't ,soooo, i had to go to the ER and they cleaned it out*ouch*took xrays and put some dermabond glue on there for me.
Better than having a shot put into my thumb....

Have a big ole splint on it and was told..keep it dry.
Good thing i only work on the weekends......
Betcha i slow down whilst cutting things from now on!

We did get a nice rainfall this afternoon so I don't have to water the grass seed. The bonding on my two front teeth fell off while eating lunch today...surely hope the dentist can work me in tomorrow...there is now a gap between them...look like??? bugs bunny maybe? LOL

(((Kellsis))) So sorry about your thumb! Ouch!!!! That happened to my daughter recently and they fixed her up at work the next day. She works for a doctor. Those things can be nasty!!!!! I fear cat food cans, especially one brand! Cheapest but I don't buy it anymore because opening them up is too difficult. The kitchen can be a berry dangerous place. Unless of course you are at Ms. Alffe's where somethin's always cookin.

Today I did nothing, a little laundry and clean bedding. I'm too exhausted from working hard in my yard yesterday when I got home.

Alffe, where'd that darn rain come from!? I thought we had plenty of rain recently, but we've been dry long enough that the grass is already starting to brown!!!! Hopefully we'll get some this week!

Back to work tomorrow.
