I didn't realize that I hadn't been on here since February....there have been some good changes in life, finally! I don't know if many of you will remember that "the hubby" and I were separated from our son and grandkids for three years. It was the main reason, besides health, that brought me here before. There have been major changes in our relationship and for the past two years, they have been back in our lives...so, so great. My health continues to deteriorate and I spent the beginning of this year in ICU in a coma but there was great incentive to fight through...to fight FOR life. The granddaughter is 12 now; grandson is 14. They mean everything to me...it's as if those lost years never happened; we see them, as well as our son, at least once a week....we will never lose time with them again.

Our son is getting married this Saturday, May 4, to a wonderful girl. I can't imagine loving her any more if I'd given birth to her myself. She calls me her "sweet, little mommy"....she's adorable. Hubby loves her so much that he's even wearing a fuschia vest with the tux....just as she requested, since their colors are black, silver and fuschia. I KNOW he wouldn't have done it for me, but he'd do it for her....so funny!!! She's a registered nurse who works with Alzheimer's patients; we have that in common...I did, too, for many years. Now I pray that we don't get the snow and rain that is in the forecast for Saturday. On Sunday morning they're headed to Hawaii for their honeymoon....aaahhhh, young love and warm weather.

So that's it in my life right now. I've been incredibly blessed. I'm trying to remember to count the blessings now and not dwell on anything else. Hubby has been on a "temporary lay off" for the past year...since a few days after his dad's death. Ironically, it was a good time for the "lay off"...now he's thinking of retiring. I think it's finally time; after being married for 38 years, I think we're finally used to each other....LOL.
