Thanks ((((Alfee))) ...... elbow is well.
May I tell a happy funny?
Service stations have that dreadful new pump that I have has SO much trouble using. So often I can't make the darn thing pump gas and have to go inside and ask for help. Last time that happened a very young woman came to help me -- slowly and carefully she showed me how to make the new pump work.
Yesterday I went to fill up and another woman (about my age) pulled in just ahead of me. We both started to fill at the same time ....... My tank was full and she was obviously having trouble and not getting any gas.
I walked up to see (me?) if I could help. She was having the same problem I had fought so long. I asked if I could help and show her what had been giving me trouble. I slowly and carefully showed her how to do it and we got gas!! It worked!!.
She shrieked, she yelled, grabbed my arms, hopped up and down. I hugged her, I screamed and yelled, we hopped up and down and danced around her car. Then both of us were crying. We did something right.

Smile Hugz for the room TOO.....

Alffe, you sing so nicely! I swear I could almost hear you on the breeze!

Bar results NOT until October..... I just hope and pray I wrote well this time.

The gallery showing starts next Friday through the weekend! She is excited and the art is complete and ready for travel. I hope and pray the best for my luv in that opportunity.

Well Wren.... glad you got gas, and helped another get gas too. Last night we ate at a favored ethnic restaurant and got gas as well just of a different kind..... Kudos to you Wren for being so helpful for another!

More hugz for the room

Hi Alffe and the rest--

Papers over, school is out until after Labor Day. Mother in law visits today so that will be interesting and hopefully fun! I love NYC Alffe, so jealous. Hopefully I can visit there for the holidays this year.

I can't seem to shake the stress even though it doesn't exist right now. Keep having nightmares but I am sure soon enough I'll relax and be ok.

Thinking of you all. Thanks for the kind words from many of you.

A couple weeks ago I made my routine annual visit to optometrist and I had to return for more tests/photos. ~gulp~ A few days ago he phoned - I have macular degeneration .... I'm slowly going blind in my left eye and it will move to the right.
I now have a diagram/chart on my refrigerator and I have to check each eye every day. If I see change I head immediately to his office.
I'm just scared.
Thank you very much for listening. You are the first and only people I've told.

I'm no physician Wren, but i know for a fact that there are injections they can do to keep that from getting worse we take several of our residents to get them monthly. {{{HUGS}}}}

Yet another thing we have in common dear friend. I look at the same chart every morning with the same instructions to call if the lines move. But I don't have to see him for another year so I can't get too worked up about the "urgency" thing.

Barbo is right....our bodies just fall apart the older we get!
