(((Wren))) I'll be thinking of you as well. Doesn't sound like very much fun. Especially for an elderly lady like you.

I think I'd ask for the "thing" to be installed while I was asleep thank you very much.

You are a brave courageous fighter.
I wish you a painfree recovery

Wren, all the best to your for this proceedure. You're braver than I am. Just reading about it puts me on edge. I think if I was having this done tomorrow I'd be feeling attempting to run away right about now.

Will be thinking of you. All the very best!

Heart

Thanks again, Alffe. Physically I'm doing quite well, so much better than last time. The surgery was so much more difficult and the outcome so much easier ???
Here at home things are already 85% the same. I just get tired too quickly.

Husband is still furious that he had to use all that gorgeous weather and spend so much time driving to and from the city. The surgery was supposed to be fairly fast (for brain surgery) and simple but mine ended up complicated and scary so at 6 PM he was still sitting in the hospital, furious, waiting to be allowed to go home. My fault..... bad brain, huh?

As soon as they got this chest attached to that nasty machine and my head wired to an EEG he could head for home. But he had to return - why, he said, when he couldn't do anything, every day. He had to drive that far, say hello and drive back home.

Then I come home and I'm to tired to even cut a watermelon for him.

Heart

Oh my heart just bleeds for him...having to wait all that time, drive that far, go without watermelon.....is his arm broken?

Well the important thing in this equation is you! And how well you are doing inspite of how long it took. Please do not have expectations of feeling full of energy this soon....I had to nap for hrs. every afternoon and all I got was a new nose...it took months before I felt like my old self.

Brain surgery is VERY serious stuff (like I need to tell you that... ) so please ignore your old fool and be kind to yourself.

I'm already ready to kick your husband to the curve.

I had a d*ckhead like that once. Was in the hospital when my baby was only 1, for a month and wasn't expected to live. Got down to 86 lbs. I finally asked that they bar him from my room because he would come and ***** at me about things like....oh, a $9.67 long distance phone bill, or...the babysitter my daughter was staying with wasn't good enough, or... well he!!, he even asked why I was in the hospital, I should go home. Hello? See the tubes in my nose and throat and iv's everywhere you ****?

Okay, I'm getting all revved up so let's forget about the **** in your home.

Like Alffe said, it's about you and recovering the best you can. Seems to me someone should be taking care of YOU!
