Not being able to DO something to assure a healthy result...... and last night my fear regarding the circumstances finally resolved in a "bawl my eyes out" session in our bedroom while the family was elsewhere and otherwise occupied. I guess I needed to just let down.

We hope to have news of what is occurring with him soon,
Love and hugs to all. :grouphug:

We Think.....

He will be released from hospital tomorrow. Unsure whether he will be going straight away back to family or to an intermediate facility. Unsure. Unsure. Things are strained quite a bit at home for him, for them right now. Safety is surely a deep concern for him and for them. As we have written, the conduct of such an attempt or its far more serious alternative is a deep impact to the family in many ways.

We pray....ever thankful for your prayers, thoughts, and hugs.

I have read the bumped up posts, there is a lot of value to be receive from them, and I am so grateful to have read them.

Kicker here is a new one..... seems though our son had been under a psychiatrist's care pre-attempt last week, when he was admitted to ER the docs exclaimed at the dosage administered by his treating psych doc...... The dosage he had been taking of this one particular anti-psych med was, let me do the math, 6.67 times the usual maximum dosage administered to a patient and SHE HAD BEEN WANTING TO INCREASE HIS DOSAGE. Seems the inpatient psych ward treating docs have said this is why he apparently was so driven to difficult choices the other night, the hostile and harmful behavior he was exhibiting, and the acting out to harm himself.....landing him in the ER by way of ambulance. The earlier treating physician will likely be seeing action from those who govern military psych docs. Private action will be precluded, and frankly, right now that is beside the point as the care, the life, the love, the restoration for our son and family is paramount in every way.

Thus,
we
pray all will be well.
Thank you again for keeping up this effort!

Mark your son and your whole family remain in my prayers. I am wondering if you watched 60 Minutes last night. It was about Sen.Deeds and his mentally ill son. http://www.bing.com/search?FORM=COUP...20%2060%20mins#

There is such a lack of help for the mentally ill in this country and the stigma about mental illness cripples the progress.

  We are here for you. :grouphug:

No News Today

We have not heard of the events of today regarding our son. The thought was he would be released from the hold which had kept him in the psych unit. We wait wondering......... trying not to tax the family by overreaching, giving space, and such as we have been counseled before.....

Sign us Waiting...... :grouphug:

We will be waiting to hear from you.

Mental disease is not being addressed in this country as should be. Watched on 60 Minutes, the story of the senator and his son. He really had no where to go. Hopefully his story on 60 Minutes, with such a big audience, will help with programs for individuals with this disease, as well as their families.

Joy

Joy in recognizing he yet lives though he had done what he could to escape what he recognized as immediate emotional pain.....

Thankfulness you all care so much.....

Knowing we as parents have to tread carefully regarding him and that he will allow us to talk when he feels right about it.......

Caring so we text brief infrequent messages to him to impart love, for that is enough right now......

Blessed to have faith which sees us through.... :)

:grouphug:

P.S. I have not been here much lately as between our son, my major surgery earlier this year, re-engaging in my professional practice, and SLEEP [that balm of the post surgical patient whence cometh much healing] there has been little wakefulness to share on these keys. Nevertheless I CARE and am grateful for the overwhelming care you all demonstrate so very freely. Thank you from the depths of my heart. :grouphug:

Mark,

Joy tells what is in your heart. You and Cleo are wise not to push too hard which could ultimately turn him completely away from any hope of discussion.

Know how much we care. All of you are in our prayers.

Gerry

p.s.
Please be careful not to overdo working; pushing yourself beyond what your body needs.
