Default 41st Wonderment...

I wonder if you can forgive me for being more of a lurker than poster...

I wonder if all of you know that I am the very fortunate wife of Mr Moi...

I wonder how Addy is doing with her life and livelyhood... and that I am so glad she is still singing

I wonder how Scrabble is doing...

I wonder if Doody knows that her new kittie looks alot like a stray one we had - only lived a few days - but was so sweet

I wonder if we will ever get our landscaping done...

I wonder when Doody is going to the Alffe's house...

I wonder if and when my daughter will get her act together and if it will be in time to get her kids...

I wonder how much of her "stuff" is mental health and how much is just plain choices...

I wonder if I can leave hugs for those of you that I know and love and for those that I will soon...

I wonder if she knows that when you get really old, you don't have to do that any more...because it starts growing on your chin instead....

I wonder if Mrs.Moi knows that I'm so glad she shared her suicide losses here..there is much we can learn from this wise lady....

I wonder how I can explain about chiggers...assuming that's what got me..
awful itchey bumps around the tops of my socks..probably from digging out in the dirt...they are finally going away but today I plan on getting in the dirt some more.....

I wonder if anyone else has this horrid cough, throat, sinus thing I can't seem to shake.....have tried all the over the counter meds mixed with alchohol at times...(yeah, yeah I know) and I still can't shake it....

I wonder why Alffe talks about CHIN HAIR ?
Did she forget the single cheek hair and just ignore the neck hair?

I wonder why I didn't know about BJ's gallbladder.

I wonder if she'd like to know I had mine out (it was 100% packed with stones) and I don't expect we'll be seeing her any time soon. Recovery hurts! Hope you have someone to help you get up and down BJ!!!! Takes 2 weeks to stop hurting. Be sure to take your pain meds and stay on top of the pain.

I wonder as well at how nice it was to see Mrs. Who Moi.

I wonder if Alffe should stop writing in her journal.

Chiggers. Reminds me of a story from when I was a little girl. My parents and my sister Janine picked berries (strawberries I think) at my grandma's house. I didn't, I was playing inside with grandma. All 3 of them got absolutely horrible chigger bites and were miserable.

Here is more than you probably ever wanted to know about chiggers.

Quote:
Chiggers are the larvae of the harvest mite, Trombicula alfreddugesi. The eight-legged adult harvest mites are bright red and are seen crawling over the soil surface when one is spading the garden during the warm days of springtime. They look like small velvety red spiders. In the early spring, these adult mites lay eggs in the soil that hatch into the larval chigger stage.

The adults and most immature stages are completely harmless, but the tiny, six-legged larval stage is parasitic on many animals, including rodents, birds, poultry, rabbits, livestock, snakes, toads, as well as humans. The larval chigger moves very quickly on the ground and crawls onto feet or legs. On its host, the chigger usually moves about until it reaches a place where it is somewhat confined, such as around ankles, under socks, or behind knees. when people sit on chigger-infested ground, frequently they may get severe chigger bites around the waistline or in the crotch area, especially under belts and elastic bands of underwear. Sometimes chiggers may move to the upper torso and attack the armpits. Chiggers become active in June, but outdoor activities and warm days around the Fourth of July result in increased complaints about chiggers.

Contrary to popular belief, chiggers do not burrow into the skin, but pierce the skin, (often around a hair follicle) and inject a fluid that prevents blood from clotting. The fluid causes tissues to be inflamed; each bite has a characteristic red welt with a white, hard central area. The tiny red chigger in the center of the itching bump is effectively camouflaged by the inflamed tissues. Fluids secreted by the mite liquifies the tissues that are ingested by the chigger. It is these injected fluids that results in the severe itching and dermatitis that accompanies chigger bites.

After becoming fully fed, the chigger drops from its host, goes into the ground and enters a quiescent stage. In the fall of the year, it becomes a bright red adult that overwinters.

I wonder if Alffe should read some stuff before she goes back out to dig, lol.

Quote:
Skin Care

After returning from a chigger-infested area, launder the field clothes in soapy, hot water (125°F.) for about half an hour. Infested clothes should not be worn again until they are properly laundered and/or exposed to hot sunshine. Unlaundered clothes or those laundered in cool water will contain the biting chiggers to again reinfest your skin. As soon as possible, take a good hot bath or shower and soap repeatedly. The chiggers may be dislodged, but you will still have the stylostomes, causing the severe itch. Scratching deep to remove stylostomes can cause secondary infections. For temporary relief of itching, apply ointments of benzocaine, hydrocortisone, calamine lotion, New Skin, After Bite, or others recommended by your pharmacist or medical doctor. Some use Vaseline, cold cream, baby oil, or fingernail polish. (The sooner the treatment, the better the results.)

I wonder if there's anything on earth we could do for curious?
I wonder if we all stoped what we're doing and said a prayer for curious it might help.
Just a little prayer asking God for help and comfort.

I wonder if we all could do that as we read this ...........
