In MY opinion you add nothing to a fresh tomato except a sprinkle of salt ... then eat like an apple ......... eat 3 or 4 like an apple!!

Round One in the boxing ring with Mother Nature wasn't too bad, thanks to my new boxing gloves (attic fan). The weather forecast is still hot, but they're not talking as extreme as they were yesterday (like they can REALLY predict the weather)

I'm getting too skinny though. The anorexic look is NOT a good look, and I can't stomach more than one Ensure a day. It feels like I'm in a constant state of morning or motion sickness. My husband keeps trying to get me to eat, but it only makes it worse to talk about food.

I used to love to work out at the health club, and I was in excellent shape (ate well and muscles toned). I was on a stationary bike and noticed two women glaring at me. Finally, one of them sneered "You don't need to be here - you look anorexic." It wasn't light-hearted joking - it was real anger towards me.

They wouldn't stop glaring, so I told them "I work out for the stamina and emotional balance it gives to me. I work a full-time demanding job, I'm a single mother with an energetic toddler, and I'm the caregiver to two elderly sick parents. I need the extra stamina. What's YOUR story?"

I wish they could see me now - THIS looks anorexic!

I'm so friggin tired. How I would LOVE to take a nap, but I've got waaaaay too many people to pray for today. After all, WE are at war - there IS no napping when your soldiers are fighting and dying for your life. The least you can do is stay on top of it and pay attention to the game - i.e., pray for them and their families and friends.

I haven't even checked today's death count over there - anyone know?

When it rains it pours. Thought I was starting to settle down, but noooooooooooo. London Bridges had to fall, so now I have to juggle my schedule around them. Hope we don't have another disaster anytime soon, it's wearing me down. What a mess in Minnesota (and New Orleans). Hope our men and women overseas stay safe.

Thanks Bizi

They didn't hurt my feelings. It just made me angry because that was the only "me time" I had, and I only had one hour. Nothing against them, but I didn't want to spend my "sacred hour" being told to "F-off" by people who didn't even know me. The noive of some people, huh?

Hey good news! I ate a slice of pizza a couple of hours ago, and it hasn't attacked me yet

It's a good thing cuz my sister - my ONLY sibling - called today to say she discovered a lump on her breast. Well now, isn't that just special.

She's 6 years older than me. My favorite home movie clip with her is when I was sitting in a high chair with spaghetti all over my face - reaching out with spoon in hand trying to feed my older sister.

I've been up for so many days now - doc says I'll drop sooner or later. Hope it's sooner, cuz it's WAY past my bedtime - and everyone else I know is sound asleep.

g'day Kathy, I sure hope that the lump they found turns out to be something totally benign. It seems to me that you've got a plateful of worries already and it's overflowing. I'm wondering if it's pain keeping you awake or mixture of pain and worry. When I'm like that I tend to start overthinking and the more pain and the more worry the more overthinking and then the whole of me is totally exhausted but sleep is elusive. I'm not sure if Ensure is the same as what I used to have and that was Hospital strength Sustagen. They may be the same thing just different brand names, I'm not sure. I was extremely stressed, ill and underweight at one time some years ago and my blood pressure was way too low because of that and I found that the Sustagen seemed to act as a bit of a pick-me-up or tonic and got my appetite going again.

Anyway, I just read your message and wanted to respond to you and hope that you get some sleep sooner rather than later. Your body and brain need it. Easier said than done I know.

Sisters are wonderful...both older and younger! (I'm the middle one.. ) I'll be praying for your sister KathyM.
Leaving shortly to drive down and pick up our grandaughters. I might now be around for several days cause those girls will run me ragged.

It's an absolutely gorgous day...not so humid.

I need to go wash all the nose prints off my car windows so Mr.Alffe can see out. Cooper likes to ride too!
