Default Suicide The forever decision

I highly recommend this book by Paul Quinnett
In these troubling times we live in this book is for those who are thinking about suicide and for those who know love or counsel them.

Dr. William VanOrnum said this book is a treasure not a final exit but an open door to life providing hope and reassurance to those who suffer depression and despondency.

Please know that we can and will survive this awful time in our lives..

That awful time of year for you and your family Alffe.
Thinking of you and hoping you are well.

We are fine dear friend, tired of being house bound like every one but grateful our family is healthy. Got our first vaccination and anxious to get the second.

I am alarmed at the rise of suicides in our country . Especially the number of young people.

And how are you. ❤️❤️

Alffe, the covid situation really is grim.
Despite this, I'm thankful for so much personally.
I'm particularly thankful in these days that there are people stronger and more able than me who are involved in outreach services who are continuing to do their best to help others who are in dire need.

Alffe,
I was just trying to find some information on the old PsychCentral website. doh
Obviously I didn't find it, but came across some other information on the Healthline site. It's not really my usual cup of tea regarding format and not as good as PsychCentral if I can say that but it still has some really helpful information.

How ‘Anticipatory Grief’ May Show Up During the COVID-19 Outbreak

Most, if not all of us, have a lingering sense that more loss is still to come
This perspective is from March 2020, so much has become worse since then, but there is some helpful advice. There appears to be a lot of ads on the site, but I'm using adblockers so all I see is the word "advertisment" here and there.

Further down the article is

Excellent link, thank you. I was surprised to realize that I am experiencing some of those symptoms dear friend.

My husband is getting tired of hearing me say I’m glad I’m old!

Hugs for the room

Default Suicide and diagnoses

Everytime I collect another diagnosis I am struck that many who have "fill in the blank" take their own lives. My father told me that if his health got too bad and he became a burden that he would just will himself dead. I did not believe he could do it, but when he decided his time here was up, refusing food, drink, and medical care was his quick path out (at 99 it took him less than 3 days). I still can't believe he left us. COVID made him feel like a burden because he understood the risks we took to get him care at the end. I hate this pandemic.

. I'm sorry to hear this tied and I'm sorry I hadn't read your post before today to respond. I have no words that could help really. It's all just too sad. Thinking of you.
