I've got an appt with an ortho dr at 2:45 today. Guess i'll find out what they're going to do with my knee then.... Scott had his first choir concert Tuesday night. It was awesome... such talent.... The musical hes in is in one month. I cant wait to see it. Rebecca had her last volley ball game of the season so things will slow down for her. All shes doing now is competitive cheer. Her first competition is in November in Austin Texas... Thats about it.

I had a stir-fry on my plate tonight which was very good ... and it was even better tasting because my son and his friend made it.
Busy day at school, but I enjoyed helping the Kindergarten kids glue feathers on their turkey pictures. Gosh it is hard to explain to a kid in Kindergarten that she can't take a book out from the school library until she has returned the book she borrowed last week. (Of course having autism makes it even more dificult for her.) I thought she understood when she put her book back ... but then she picked out another book and lined up so the librarian could check it out for her! I tried to explain it again ... and she just found a different book .... ~sigh~ Curious, our class will be visiting a farm this month to go for a hay ride, try some freshly made apple juice, and pick pumpkins. Alffe, the leaves are really pretty now. My parents drove home (over a couple of days) a week ago and they sure enjoyed the scenery. There was even a light dusting of snow on some of the pine trees, but mostly lots of beautiful colour.

I cant wait for the leaves to start turning here. Its going to be a late fall. usually by now the tress have started changing colors...
My dr appt went well yesterday. He gave me a cortisone shot in the knee and it helped tremendously. i go back in 2 weeks for another one... If my insurance will approve it, he wants to give me a shot of some stuff that puts lubrication back between the bones. I dont remember how many of those he said i'd need.. for some reason 4 sticks in my head. ANYWAY the pain is so so much better today, and he said i could start backwith water aerobics on Monday. The water aerobics was not what was causing the ligament to displace, it was the arthritis and bone spurs. I'm still looking at a possible knee replacement but that will be next year sometime. My kiddos are out of school today. Rebecca stayed the night with a friend, and Scott has play rehersal at 10:00 i need to get him up LOL....sss to our room |

a soft pillow for me to sit on needs to be on my plate.
this meme got got talked into riding on the very back of the hayride. kinda like being in the last car of a roller coaster. wicked farmer was bent on giving the kiddo's a joy ride. ok, it was fun but i sure got whipped and bumped around. picked hay off my **** for 10 minutes. hehehe. had a wonderful time. HOT HOT HOT. pu-leeze somebody tell mr sun that this is october. i got some cute pictures. they are on my cell phone, so lil'monkey will email them to me, so i can post them. (((scrabble))) yep..we got pumpkins too. i picked a nice speckled dark green one. grandmonkey is going to paint his. it will last until halloween that way. lil'monkey had her performance last night. i am a choir mom. ARGH. what a night. i'll post more about that later. trying to keep my blood pressure low. ((((((vicky)))))) a friend of mine, jill, had both her hips replaced when she was 30. a childhood injury that dislocated them caused the joints to wear out. last year she had both knees replaced. the hips being off for so many years caused the knee problems. she has been very happy about doing it. wished it had been done sooner. (((((alffe))))) try not to over do it. hehehe..pot calling kettle huh? (((((abbie))))) i hope you are resting and NOT reading this. migraines are the pits. drink some caffiene. it really helps. (((((wren))))) how did i miss it about your arm? now you stop copying vicky! for everyone else. my back is screaming...and i can't sit here anymore right now. but i will later. up and down...up and down...

Nothing much right now but next week that is a new story. Monday will begin with 2 additional MRIs of both the front and back of my neck then in the afternoon I get to visit my Shrink. Tuesday I will visit my PC for I am have a bladder issue and then it will be a trip to my therapist. Wednesday I only have to see my cardiologist and see if there is any improvement with my heart disease. Thursday is a non Dr day as I will be going to an MS event and I wrap up the week by seeing my neurologist to find our what the MRIs have told him.

Hi putterfit ~ nuthin' like an MRI to make you feel like you're getting attention, right? LOL. I had my last one yesterday ... they checked out my brain... it's fine. On the 18th a different hospital will check out my arm (bigger than my brain) with their machine.
Aren't we fortunate that we aren't frightened by those giant machines? We're glad to have you with us and hope/pray that things go well for you. |
