Nowhere in Scripture does it say sucide is a unpardonable sin. The only true unpardonable sin is committed --by people who reject and KNOW God's love in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. I 100% believe God can and does forgive his children who commit suicide. From everything I ever read anyone that commits suicide is not mentally in a healthy state of mind so how can anyone JUDGE or that not be forgiven. Im so very sorry for your loss!!

I have read the bible from front to back,I evenwhent to bible collage so that I could teach sunday school,and I have never found anything that says that suicides go to hell eather but I have had a lot of so call christins tell me this, that is one of the main resons I don't go to church any more not that I do not beleave in God because I do,just not in hipacredical christins

I 100% agree so called Christian are not very Christ like ---anyone to even say or suggest that-- even if they think they are correct to even say such a thing is truly mean-spirted and does not have a heart!!! There are alot of hypocriates--I too left many churches over this in my years more because of the membership showed mean spirit to other suffering. There is only one true judge which is God. I can't imagine your loss-- but if you ever need a friend or ear please feel free to reach out to me.

I realy aprsheate that y'all are there for meI have had no one that I can talk to about this with other then my pdoc sence it happened,and all he says is how do you feel about this or that,not much of a converstion and not much help eather I already know how I feel it would just be nice to have a little feed back thats all hope you have a nice day

Suicide is NOT a sin. It is a pardonable decision made under great duress. Love is the answer. Love the person who completed suicide.

I agree with you 100% I have never found it in the Bible eather,but I had a pastur tell me one time that because he took the life that God gave him that he was going to Hell,it did not make me mad at God but it did make me mad at him and the church I still beleave very strongly in God and pray to he offten,I do not go to church any more

I'll try to be nice and choose my words carefully here but I'm mad as anything with the media in recent weeks. I was following the events in Boston virtually as they happened recently (much of it was in our day time when eastern US was in night time) and all the errors that were being made and false accusations just flying by willy nilly. sheesh. What the heck?

I've now just read the very sad news about the young man from Brown who was missing and whose name was bandied about all over the news and social media for many hours and whose name will forever be cached on the internet with accusations that he was one of the Boston terror suspects.

This couldn't be closer to the truth. Its difficult for some of my family to talk directly about my Uncle's suicide, but we have to go there and talk openly about what we feel and how we meet each day. My Mum and Dad are so lovely but the elephant in the room scenario would persist if I didn't challenge some of the denial.

This doesn't mean I bring up the tragic circumstances every time we speak. However, acknowledging what has happened is the only way to keep supporting each other with our feelings and emotions.
