What the heck?

I've now just read the very sad news about the young man from Brown who was missing and whose name was bandied about all over the news and social media for many hours and whose name will forever be cached on the internet with accusations that he was one of the Boston terror suspects.
Honest to goodness, it is sick! The www. The wild wild web. ugh
Oh you don't want to get me started on the press!! My dad used to say that in order to have a free society you had to have a free and vigorous press...that was before we had news 24/7. I find the press an embarrassment for the most part and agree with you Lara...it is sick!!

My Mum and Dad are so lovely but the elephant in the room scenario would persist if I didn't challenge some of the denial.

This doesn't mean I bring up the tragic circumstances every time we speak. However, acknowledging what has happened is the only way to keep supporting each other with our feelings and emotions.

Hope this makes sense.
It makes perfect sense Budgie and you are so right in talking about his suicide...talking heals us. I refused to talk about our son's suicide for years so I was stuck in an awful place.
