Shocked doody! you won't belive this.

grandmonkey has fifths disease! tuesday he had bright red cheeks. i thought it was from running around too much outside. wednesday..still red...today...still red.

then i noticed his chest looked blotchy. he has the rash all over his whole body.

he had the booger nose and sore throat last week. ugh. boy am i gonna look pretty on christmas.

Unhappy

oohhhhhhhhhhh I'm so sorry to hear that. That's rotten about grandmonkey and rotten about you being certain to catch it.

One of my big Christmas wishes is for your health.

Oh my gosh ((Monkey))! Grandmonkey has Fifths? Oi vey! Poor baby.

The good news is...it's easier on the kids then it is adults. Daughter doody is STILL having joint and neck pain and it will be 3 weeks??? tomorrow.

But...you may not get it! We will cross our fingers and toes and say a great big prayer too!

Bet he looks like his cheeks have been slapped. Poor little guy!

((Wren))

I agree Alfee. They say it's a common illness, but I worked for a pediatrician for ten years ('78-'88) and don't remember ever seeing any patients with Fifth disease.

Curious - I hope you don't get it, and I hope your little one won't suffer too much.

Doody - sorry to hear your daughter is still suffering.

Heart

this poor kid. he hurts so bad.

today my daughter flew in from new jersey to surporse the kids for christmas. boy was he excited. did a double take when he saw her. almost gave himself wiplash. but you could see the pain in face all day.

she wanted to buy him a game at target. he couldn't even walk in the store. sat in the basket. he picked Operation. it was funny because my daughter kept showing him game after game. he says...no...i really want this one. she says to me...does he not like games? i say..he loves them. so she askes me why he won't pick any others. i reminded her she never never told him he could have more than one. so she snuck another 5 games under tha basket. boy will he be surprised on chritmas.

couldn't get him to eat all day. not even a big green cookie at bennigan's.

i asked the dr alffe about it being an outbreak or what. she said that it is very common, but usually gets attributed to something else...like hives. rosey cheeks in the winter...well..the kid just got wind burned. that type of thing.

yep doody...he has rosier cheeks than santa.

i really hope i don't get it either. or lil'monkey. she has rehersals for texas all region choir.

oy.

thank you all for your conitinual support. love you bunches.

Default As promised to Doody...

http://www.flickr.com/photos/lindascampk9/1443930274/

We got our winter newsletter from Camp K9 today and this picture was in it and this little article.:

We find that like breeds play together as in the case of Molly and Cooper. Molly is a rescued Airedale from Midwest Airedale Rescue and Cooper is just a very lucky dog. He has taken a fancy to Holly, a Labrador retriever, but once he saw Molly I think he decided to date around. Cooper is seven years old and Molly is just two. Cooper always picks younger girls. Molly comes weekly but Cooper can only handle vacations. He goes home to rest up.

************

Now you have to post the picture Doody. *grin

Curious I hope the lil monkey feels better tonight.

LOLOL! How CUTE is that!!! Cooper not only likes his women younger but apparently likes pretty robust women too! Awwww, what a cute story.

((Curious)) I hope grandmonkey gets better soon. Little granddoody was pretty sick too. When they're little, they just don't know enough to tell us how they are feeling!

Unfortunately, daughter doody is still having problems and in pain. It's mostly in her wrists and hands now. She wakes up with her hands and wrists horribly swollen and has a hard time functioning with them. My poor baby. I pray the other adults in your family don't get this stuff!!!

And yes it's often misdiagnosed or not noticed

At least we all here now know and can watch for it in our loved ones! Poor little grandmonkey!
