I've got the balcony door open and the birds are singing...I may go out there and start singing myself. We are going to the Desert Botanical Gardens today...it's supposed to be 67 degrees..nice walking around temp.

This area is clean as a whistle...everyone hyped up for the superbowl...washing the streets, grooming the lawns.

Went to a very upscale Mall yesterday and had to laugh at the display of jewelry....silver and gold footballs...big $$! (I bought a bag of flackseed potato chips)

Oh Doody, we have an old friend who winters here...he's 83 and misses his wife terribly but doesn't dwell on it. That's who we had over for dinner.
Fixed spag. & meat balls, a salad and sourdough bread...bought the WORST pie I ever tasted...banana cream and it was terrible!

20 degrees and windy here LOL but i'm NOT complaining... After reading what Doody is putting up with this is a summer get-away compared to her weather.
We're going to Garland Texas tomorrow for a cheer competition that Rebecca is participating in. Should be fun...

What Ms. Alffe doesn't ever mention is that she can be caught humming away just about anytime you walk into a room. It's very nice.

Worked, worked, worked today and yay, it's Friday. I don't do Doody land tonight, but I will tomorrow night. Just me, daughter doody and granddoody. Daddy is playing with friends, so we get the place to ourselves.

Tomorrow daughter doody, granddoody and I are going to visit a friend of mine who is a housemom at a sorority here. She has a nice couch and loveseat she wants to give to my kids, so we're going to check it out. It will be the first time my friend has met my precious little grandson and she is very excited. She has 3 beautiful grandsons of her own but doesn't get to see them very often.

Oh and it's supposed to get up in the 30s this weekend! Better find my swimsuit and grill, LOLOL! Yeah, right.

We're looking forward to attending a new church this morning...have had the best experiences when we are strangers in town and the "sameness" of the service is comforting in itself.

It's rainning here! And a fly flew in when I had the balcony door open...and it looked just like an Indiana fly.

And if it's still rainning this afternoon, we are going to go see A-T-O-N-E-M-E-N-T.....

Laundry is on my plate today!!!!! and a BUNCH of it too..... We got in from cheer competition this morning at 2:30 so i havent been up very long. The girls placed second out of 12 other teams. They missed first by less than one point. I was so proud of them, but they were so upset to miss first by such a small amount. There was a professional photographer there taking photos and he has a web site. I'll get the url and post it if anybody is interested in seeing the girls photos during their actual competition. We saw the proofs yesterday and there are a couple of good shots of Rebecca (proud momma)
