Default Nina

I just wanted to come and plea with everyone to say a little pray for my 14 year old Siberian Husky. Her vet found a mass on her trunk today. I will be picking her up at 4pm and receive the diagnosis. Me and my daughters have lost everything in a 2 year period 3 elderly pets and my husband, their father. We lost our home, my business and I feel everything else! Nina has been with my children their whole life. This is just awful! Thank you for your prayers.

Well by now you've brought her home? Or made a very tough decision? Just wanted you to know that I'm thinking about you and your girls.

It doesn't have to be bad news. Older dogs frequently get large benign tumors on their bodies. One of my collies had one and it grew until I thought it was starting to interfere with her walking (it was behind her shoulder/elbow, don't know dog's anatomy). I made the decision to have it removed, she was 12 then and still pretty healthy. The surgery was a success but she unexpectedly had complications when I was ready to take her home. I spent almost 5 days in the vets office sitting on the floor by her crate before I decided to put her down.

I hope it goes well for you.

I am so numb. It is cancer. I have to make the tough decision of either fighting or letting her succomb to it. My children are devastated. This is just so hard after all we've been through. I have dealt with cancer with my Lab for 4 years. It was truly awful. And then my 13 year old cat got cancer. Then my 15 year old other cat died from renal failure. This is my last pet. I really haven't made a clear decision yet, but she is home now. After we left the vet, we stopped at the doggy park and then she got two plain hamburgers from McDonalds. Yes, my dog is spoiled rotten and she has lived a wonderful and healthy life until now. I'm just so numb

OMG I am so sorry! I remember sitting on the floor of the vets kennel for days when my cat was dying of renal failure. It is never easy. Nina was diagnosed with cancer today. Ironically, you are describing the same place of the tumor. This is just such a tough decision to make with 2 children. I knew her days were numbered, but least expected it to end to this. I honestly don't know how much more I can take. We have lost everything! I hate life. I wish I could disappear, but I have kids. When I fled the home with my children, I also took the dog. I was so scared he would euthanize her because of her suspected brain tumor. She was in such a bad way, but the meds stabalized her. It has been almost 2 years since then and she is healthy. I am just speechless! Thank you for your kind wishes.

(((Nohope))) I'm so sorry to hear about your Nina. She's a lucky baby to have had you all these years. Give her a hug and kiss from me please. My prayers are with you all.
