I miss you guys! It's still hot...but they are expecting big storms tonight and less heat and humidity tomorrow...only in the high eighties.
Predicting sky to horizen lightening.....never have seen that.

We are getting ready to go see The Little Mermaid tonight...stopped in a deli on our way home from the Metropolitan M.Art...love all these deli's and yes Abbie, we've had brick pizza and Patsys pizza. We are going up to the Rainbow Room after the show for dessert tonight..have to show Morgan that view (Sleepless in Seattle).

Kathy we haven't tried to climb any tall buildings yet but did see an interesting fashion exhibit of spiderman clothes at the museum today.

And Koala I mailed you a p.c. this morning...3 1st class stamps so it should be enough...

Wren how did the checkup go....

Curious, how did you recognize me!

And nohope..when I get home let's both try to learn how to do graphics!!
I will if you will. *grin

Cheryl I talked to Barbo this morning and it's lovely weatherwise at home...I hope we don't bring this heat with us.

Hugs for the room...

Had big storms while we were in the show last night and it was twenty degrees cooler when we got out. Morgan loved Times Sq. at night...who wouldn't!

Today is a walking day so I'm in my jeans...walking across the Brooklyn Bridge, doing the Empire State Bldg, and the garment district...so glad it's cooler!

I was tickled to get an email from our Katy this morning..invited her to come into the city for lunch but she declined..(it's a two hr. train ride and short notice) Love you Katy!

Everybody have a good day....and no hope, try to behave!

Pssssssssst,,Moose, we are on again off again friends.

I deleted everyone and now am having second thoughts! (I'm old!)

Oh so typical to be blamed for something I haven't even done yet! Maybe it was for last night. I have been selling my furniture right and left from my marraige and replacing it with new stuff. So last night, my new sectional was delivered to a "landing", my front porch. They said for liability issues, they could not bring into the home!!! I paid $147 for this delivering and they weren't going to bring it inside! The two pieces were huge! I am by myself with rheumatoid arthritis and two little girls and no family in town wondering how the !@#% I am going to get it inside! I didn't even think it would clear the doorway. Desperate, I sat on the front porch guarding my new furniture and called my new friend I have been telling you about. Between her and I and an hour later we got it in the house and set up. I ran to McD for their $1.25 happy meals for my kids and hers and then we polished off a bottle of wine talking about our deceased family members to suicide. She will be visiting the cemetary for father's day and wants to take Sara and Emma there after they make Father's Day cards for their daddy. Emma has been bringing up "daddy" quite a bit lately, so my friend thinks this might help her to understand a little better. I think it's a great idea and it will also give me a moment alone with "no kids"! I don't have a clue what I will do as they are ALWAYS with me! I will try and stay outa trouble Alffe

Me thinks thou doth protest too much! I love getting visuals of people...there you were sitting on your new furniture on the porch, swearing under your breath, and I'm wondering what kind of wine you drink?

Morgans mom called last night and we had a "rain" conversation! Pretty amazing stuff...people swimming in the street in her neighborhood!!

And I am hoping that Doody doesn't float away...I saw the weather prediction.

Hugs for the room.......

*grin...it's everywhere now moi...click on your link, click on locations. We are staying on Murray Hill so it's right there.

Shelley I'll just have to have one for you! Can't figure out how to bring it home. And did you see those cupcakes Bluerose posted???

Ok, wore ourselves out, well almost. Went to Wall Street, ground zero, Trinity Church, St.Pauls Church (bawled again)
  • "Unwavering Spirit: Hope & Healing at Ground Zero"
Located directly across from the World Trade Center site, St. Paul's Chapel, an Episcopal church, was home to an extraordinary eight-month volunteer relief effort after the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001. Unwavering Spirit, a new interactive exhibit, honors that ministry and its legacy of love and compassion

and the garment district..shopping. Love that big button and needle! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Fashiondisbooth.JPG

Getting ready now to go to the Oak Room for a dinner/show..Mr.Alffe's favorite..http://www.algonquinhotel.com/nav_oakroom_cabaret.html

then getting picked up by an old friend, hopefully not in the bluesbrothers car...
