If I have to hear one more time "what time is it mommy"!!! We were up at 6am this morning and we're hugging at 6:45am, that was when they departed Missouri. But then I realized they are probably 2 hours ahead of us. That means they'll be in the air at least 8 hours with no food or water. We will be at the airport promptly at 12:45pm when their plane lands. Soooooooooooo excited. I would be happy to share pictures of us if you know how to post them. I still can't seem to get them up on the site. We'll be leaving in an hour and a half and will check in a little later.

Home. OMG this is just like a new baby again, but two! I have cleaned up so many messes since they got here just 2 hours ago. On the bright side, the girls are in love and enjoying cuddling and Nina didn't defend her food dish! She just stared at me like "help!" when the pups dove in. That's a first. It is going to be a lonnnnnnnnng night. And tomorrow is Emma's 5th birthday party. It will be a princess tea party with 10 little girls in princess dresses. A church couple is putting it on with real china and teaching the etiquette of tea party with cherry cheese sandwiches, pink cupcakes with glass slippers and so much more. It ought to be so cute.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Doody, I am so sorry to see the devestation in your state. It happened to us in 1996 and we were evacuated from our home when they let out the damn. I went into premature labor with Sara and was hospitalized. We didn't know if our home made it out of it for over a week when the roads were finally cleared and we could return. The water came within 14 inches of entering our house. I still remember having to drive through a river with all the pets in the car and I was scared stiff bawling. Just thinking about you.

Thank you nohope. We're fine here in central Iowa now. Des Moines' flood has finally receded and folks are trying to do what they can for the homes and businesses that were flooded.

The worst of it now is over in eastern Iowa. They got hit so very hard. People wanted to get back into their homes where the flood receded and police, highway patrol etc., actually pulled guns on people who became so upset and p.o'd, that they tried to break through the barricades. The photo of one family freaked me out. The highway patrol had their guns on the driver and one of them took his baton to break out the window.

Now the mighty Mississippi and the poor people along there have gotten hit very hard.

Enjoy the new babies.
