Here is Hunting Island in S. Carolina. My favorite place there. This is where they filmed the Viet Nam scenes that were in the Forrest Gump movie.
The beautiful beach and ocean from the top of the lighthouse. Yes, I conquered my fear of going outside at the top! The mansion I want to buy in beautiful historic Beaufort. (Only $2.5 million.) A stop in the Smokies. Lord they were beautiful! I bonded with a seagul at a pier at the end of the street where we stayed.

Those are so beautiful Doody. Wanna go in halfsies on the mansion??
I was conceived in the Smokies so I'm partial to them. We were there exactly a year ago for my Aunt's funeral outside of Asheville. The colors are so amazing there. It's just beautiful there. Your pics are just stunning!!

You're welcome.
This bridge going into Charleston is amazing. Wish I could have captured it better. Just a little walkway I found in Charleston, but loved it. The slave markets in Charleston. But they call them the 'city market' I think. I personally think they should have preserved them as they were rather than turn them into a flea market type place. I can't remember how many long buildings, but there were quite a few. We were too late to take a ferry across the water to Fort Sumter. Sumpter? This was way cool. FORT MOULTRIE - West Middle Street, Sullivan's Island, SC. Attacked by a British fleet in 1776, the colonists repelled the assault in a decisive victory and began a tradition of seacoast defense. The pier in Beautfort where I bonded with the seagull, LOL. The private docks behind the beautiful homes where we stayed. I thought it was cool looking. My favorite place to sit and rest in downtown Beaufort. 2 cats hang out on the porch right behind where I took the picture. I don't think Alffe did ever find this little hiding place.
