You take the subway over to Brooklyn (under the water) and then just walk up the stairs..cross the street and walk back towards Manhatten. You are over the traffic and all you see is that fabulous skyline, and the Statue of Liberty and well.....I can't recommend it enough.

Sounds beautiful Alffe and if we have time I'll see if I can get there. As long as it's not near the WTC.

This is a nice weather activity! I wouldn't do it in the blowing cold.

We had brunch in WTC...at Windows on the World. Such a spectacular view of everything. Such a loss.

I know and it's a huge trigger for me. There was 3 people I went to college with in Tower 2. One of our clients who I'm really close with lost her husband. I went to the memorial service. All they found was a finger of his and it was his ring finger so she got back his wedding band. Another client works right across the street at some big bank and she told me there were a lot of people that just jumped out that day, way more than they said. It was the saddest day in US history.

How awful. That really puts a face on the tragedy for you.
We barely knew one couple who worked there..met them on a cruise and only exchanged cards a few times. It's taken them so long to rebuild there...and they can't seem to decide what to put there...I just hate that empty space.

That is pretty incredible that she got his ring back. Makes you stop and think about who is in charge.

There's a beautiful park in Upper Makefield for the "victims". It's called the Garden of Reflection. I take Hooper and we pray together.

How lovely! How long has it been there? I'll spend more time reading the site later. Thank you.
