Default Geese Flying in Formation

As each bird flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in the V formation, the whole flock adds at least twenty per cent greater flying range than if each bird flew on its own.
People who share a common direction and a sense of continuity can get where they are going more quickly and easily because they are traveling on the thrust of one another.
When a goose falls from formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to do it alone. It then quickly gets back into the formation, so as to take advantage of the lifting power of one another. If we have as much sense as geese, we will stay in formation with those people who are headed the same way as we are.
When the head goose gets tired, it rotates back in the wings and another goose takes its place. It is sensible to take turns with long demanding jobs, whether with people or with geese flying south.
Geese honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep up their speed. What messages do we give when we honk from behind?
Finally and this is most important when a goose gets sick or is wounded by gunshot, and falls out of formation, two other geese fall out of formation with that goose and follow it down to lend help and protection. They stay with the fallen goose until it is able to fly or until it dies; and only then do they launch out on their own or with another formation to catch up with their group. If we have a sense of goose, we will stand by each like that.

**************************

This always reminds me of reyn....can you hear me honking?

Hello, David:

Mammoth, take note: you were spotted centuries ago:

“Here’s a good world the while! Who is so gross
That cannot see this palpable device?
Yet who so bold but says he sees it not?
Bad is the world, and all will come to naught,
When such ill-dealing must be seen in thought.”

-- William Shakespeare, Richard III, Act III, Scene 6 --

Must be seen in thought alone...

Conscience is but a word that cowards use,
Devised at first to keep the strong in awe.
Richard III, 5. 3

I shall despair. There is no creature loves me;
And if I die, no soul will pity me:
Nay, wherefore should they, since that I myself
Find in myself no pity to myself?
Richard III. 5. 3

I have set my life upon a cast,
And I will stand the hazard of the die.
Richard III, 5. 4

Do I see before me in this scribbled ink,
subtle codes from a distant friend, in pain and enduring no solace?
Doth he know thine ears are large, and shoulders wide,
thus his attendance in my space would be welcomed like a lost child?
David M I.2

Hello, David:

Mad world, mad kings, mad composition!
King John 2.1.

I am myself alone.
Richard Duke of York 5.6

To follow one's soul and avoid either trap?

What if it tempt you toward the flood, my lord,
Or to the dreadful summit of the cliff
That beetles o'er his base into the sea,
And there assume some other horrible form,
Which might deprive your sovereignty of reason
And draw you into madness? think of it;
The very place puts toys of desperation,
Without more motive, into every brain
That looks so many fathoms to the sea
And hears it roar beneath.
Hamlet 1.4
